Sro crashes when i start my main char, any ideas?

This i've seen 1 billion times on the official Silkroadonline.net forums "OH NOES MY SRO WILL CRASH WHEN I START My HIGH CHAR" but there where no answers from JM (of course) other then copying and pasting what the GM handbook has to say (as always) and saying reinstall drivers blah blah blah


ANYWAYS when i start my main char Sro will crash with some error written in Chinese, i think its the ???????? error most of u are talking about, some ppl will get "?"s bec they dont have Chinese language packs o.o

But, ya anyone know what the problem is exactly? i can start other chars on that same account...
And i logged off to undo a pk2 edit bec i was sick of it so i imported my backup Media and Data and now it doesn't work but ONLY on that char... I'm reinstalling SRO as i post this it might fix it. Re-Installing fixed my problem when sro would just DC when i started my char. That issue started just from teleporting to Hotan then i couldn't get back on that char till i re-installed SRO.


If anyone has any ideas or if you have had this problem b4 even if u couldn't fix it tell me please. Thx

I think its stuck in a wall try to get the x and y cords and spam bug reports and make a topic and bump it everyday.

I know several people who have gotten their char moved this way.

And im not stuck in a wall, I'm in the middle of Hotan. And it will load everything up perfectly but the second the HP bar starts filling it crashes...

Edit: Fixed, I re installed Sro and it fixed it. This is the adviesed course of action that i would say.

Still don't know what u mean by that... And obviously u where wrong.

Thx for the replies, But Mods, please keep the topic open so other people that have had this issue can post weather or not it worked or if they have any other solutions if simply Re-Installing doesn't work.

i cant find the post now, but someone said to use clientless to move your char when its stuck.
