I was watching a pvp vid on youtube and saw a dagger rouge at lv 60 something wearing garms. He was ownage!
Can rogues wear garms? they look better than the light armour...Would they suck if they wore garms?

They can wear robes, if they have another mastery that allows them to.
I.E - The reason rogues wear light armor is that's all their mastery allows them to do. When a rogue has another sub class of say, warlock at lv60 they can then wear robes up to Lv60.

I think rogues with cleric sub wear light armor cause charity gives better benefits than faith (cleric passive)

Even without Dagger Desperate on, robes cannot save you from a wizard's nuke.
On the other hand, with sub bard, you'll be pretty fast. Combo that with xbow and you can stay far ranged most of the time.

Wouldn't that require you to equip a cleric rod to use the cleric passives?

ya, but we all know how good absolute dmg works :p, and rogue/clerics in light armor in their cleric form are real tanks

What robes can give you when daggers/xbow is equipped: speed and less mp consumption. That's all there is to it (excluding subs as cleric in robes also gets a bonus). Does speed and less mp consumption make a difference in PvP? Hardly, unless your sub is bard and you're being chased by a warrior in heavy armor.
As for PvE, I'd stick with light armor as majority of the mobs in SRO are physical based. (Not sure what to wear in Roc mountain though :S)
Would robes be okay? I say, get them as a final set.

Rogues pwn even when they're naked, the problem is they can't take many hits with a robe

Dont forget more magical defense, thats what truly matters.

Until 80 +rogue should stick to light armor. After that it would be nice to have robe set, because all mobs on roc have magical atack, Im really having hard time hunting there. Soon as I get enough sp to level bard to 84 im gona switch to robe.

robes are better for pve with xbow :S
not like you'll get hit often and when you do, it wouldnt help much more having light armor
I'd rather hit and run mob till i get kb or kd
