you should just play when you feel like it. dont make it seem as if you HAVE to.. take your time and enjoy the game =]

Maybe you can tell us why you're not having fun. No motivation maybe?

Just join nice active guild and you will like it again. I just play cuz of my guild. Evrytime I log in 30+ online and all spamming guild chat

endless fun. Do some GW with guild, trade runs and shit like that, and game will become much more. Silkroad is became race to the cap, just grind grind grind, and when u cant anymore a little more grind

Im gonna quote myself from a different thread, i quite liked what i said here.
tedtwilliger wrote:I dont see why people think of it as "leaving" the game. Over my 2 1/2 years of playing sro, or whatever time period it has been i've always been a casual player. If i feel like playing, i do. If that means i waste GT time, who cares?
This game, like any game, is for fun.. plain and simple. If im enjoying playing, i will keep playing. If i dont feel like playing, i simply dont. I will never truly quit, i like logging in sometimes and talking to mates like buster ( oh im sure you all remember him ) or even chucking on a cape and pvping for a while.
As long as you still enjoy your time on it.. why leave? No one has said you cant play once a week or even once a month, right?

Get in a active guild, many people say it is what keeps them having fun.

i agree with ted and 4realz, its just a game, so what if u dont get capped in only 2 months? u shouldnt feel like u have to get on and lvl all day, go pvp and do jobs or something. even if u only log in once or twice a week

You should do some trade runs or PvP at DW South

Cherrio, if you want the game to be fun I suggest throwing on a job suit, telling your buddies to come with and getting killed/killing people far away from the safe zone. The most important part is: Play when you feel like playing
The following is a rant on the state of Silk Road Online
The reason you're not having fun is because you're not really playing "silkroad", you're playing "grind road" where all you do is grind for an unspecified amount of time for no reason other than to occasionally bash someone in cape pvp then be bashed back. No risk no gains, pointless monotonous, and stupid. Heres how SRO is nowadays:
Players grind or bot up to 40 then switch from trader to hunter/thief. Then this player never actually Jobs and if they do "job" it's gate pvp. They might as well throw on a cape and spare them self the exp loss.
Here are some new names for SRO:
"CBO" - Cape Battles Online
"BFSO" - Botting for Suns Online
"GFSO" - Grinding for Suns Online
"MGWNRRO" - Monotonous Grind with no real rewards Online.
Another depiction of SRO:
A level 80 Hunter stands outside the gate waiting for some lvl 2x thieves to leave, then a lvl 90 Thief comes and kills the Hunter, then the lvl 2x thieves leave town but they're just standing outside the safe zone, then a lvl 8x rogue hunter kills the 90 thief and the noob thieves run inside town and all the traders/hunters that were in the safe zone run out of it. This goes on until both sides get bored and leave. A staring contest of epic proportions.
Cape PvP, it's only enjoyable when you challenge someone to a dual (of near equal lvl) and go far from the safe zone so asshats won't interrupt.
Job Pvp, it's pointless to pvp outside a gate in SRO (as I said) you might as well throw on a cape and spare yourself the Exp loss.
People: Throw on a bloody Job suit, leave the bloody safe zone, and do more than 1 bloody star.
------------------------------------------
Q&A
Q: IF tHe Gameee sucks s0 mu[h why do yUo stil PLaY DuR!!11
A:Because I enjoy jobbing. It's very exciting when you find a multi-star trader near your lvl and know that at any moment a hunter can come up and kill you OR that trader can come back with friends. The game is called SRO, and trust me; the road is truly exhilarating.

I agree with creep, a good guild means a good game

othrwise it gets boring, have some legits who are real kind and fun people and ull wanna stay on this forever.............. maybe not
Or you could try 9 dragons online
i heard its pretty good, but i havent tried it yet

I suggest to look out for a nice server first and settle there. If you like partying as euro and level up as hell join Venus. You can also try Athens if you're not so focused on the euro party levelling. There is a small but very friendly legit community and they give you time to do funny stuff, climbing the highest mountains in game, look at waterfalls, do some trading, go for uniques, etc....
