I've figured it out this has happened confirmed to me baro and SykoAzn and a few other people not on these forums. I think i've concretly figured it out.

Randomly a few weeks ago my alternate account was banned, it never had silk was banned at exactly 1 year old plus a few days till inspection, it never botted
barotix's was over 1 year old at the time too, how ever they didn't start these bans at the time his account would have hit 1 year, so they got him once they started
SykoAzn started the game almost 1 month after i did, he never bought silk, never botted, exactly one month after my alt account was banned, so was syko

this is conclusive to me that 1 year account life spans if you never buy silk, if your account is almost a year and you want to keep it hurry up and buy silk or prepare to quit or make a new charector

How come my accounts are not banned despite the fact I never bought silk and they were created since Athens came out?

so my theory is wrong?
it seamed like a pretty good explination, is it really just random

people should stop complaining about being banned if their legit you don't get banned for now give it up and just say i used the no dc client

i have been playing for 2 years never once bought silk never been banned
i have been using 2 computers for a staller and never been banned for over 1 year

why haven't i been banned?

it's a nice theory foudre, but there are too many outliers =[ i think all we can say right now is that joymax makes mistakes on their banlists.

There are many accounts registered, and they ban slowly.
If never bought silk it's just question of time before they delete/ban it.
I's just a database cleaning to save expense.

If you know sql database and sizes they grow with this much data in them
and the backups ...

Sad part they got the right to do anything if there isn't a cent spent on them.

STFU how many times I need to tell. I made character recently, oonly lvl 18 never boted, comon its lvl 18. Since I made acc servers are always populated, why use no-dc then?
I have 2 pc no need for MC and I still got banned.
If you arent banned doeasnt mean that we all lie noob.
There are no any rules, they banning players who use bots and third party programs and they made mistakes sometimes banning legits, simple as that.

when joymax don't ban bots, people complain.
when joymax start banning bots, people complain...making up stories.
If i were joymax i would not ban any bots and let people complain. It's a free game after all and if u don't like it..quit! done. i getting tired of people keep complaining and complaining...read my first 2 sentences again.

OT:IMO Joymax doesnt ban people that dont buy silk,main reason is PK2edit,but if you buy silk,you can PK2 edit anything and anytime you want.

I got 2 friends that play this game for 2 years or something and they never got banned and never bought silk.

I bet you use no-DC client especially during the periods before when server was damn bloody hard to login. Well, at least everyone uses it except me of course =p

i've 4 accounts. 1 main with some silk left. 3 stalling/storage accounts. all were inactive since Feb 2007. just logged in on all 4 of them.

Im sorry to blow the bubble of all your theories but Im pretty sure JoyMax has a rule, which lets them ban accounts that never bought silk after being inactive for over a year. Meaning you havent logged in for 365 days or more. Moreover, if you botted, used nodc, edited, youre quite lucky to last a year without a ban.

yes you have some point in that BUT they are not banning just bots, they are banning legit players aswell. sure in the past they wouldnt ban no one for like 6 months but now they are banning too much o.o

i have vietnamese account inactive since viet server opened (very long time), i still can loggin them
so there is something else ..............

only banned people know what they did wrong ..... no coments

my accounts are 3 yrs old, i have over 20 accounts(they are stallers...lol). joymax is keeping an eye on newly account like within a yr old to current. i knnow a lot of stallers that are 1 month old and they got banned. so it is unsaved to stall now.

hmm , not really , my old accounts at venice never got banned , but its a theory , well maybe if u logged on it with a LOADER , those things gets u easy ban if u dont have silk =] be careful bout ur stallers ppl .

silkroad is banning on the freeloaders, all the people that are on 24/7 and don't buy silk, joymax is either going to force them out, hoping when they come bacxk they buy silk if not that open spot will hopefully return as a paying customer or a new paying customer, joymax says free to play but they will ban you if you do lol

Here is probably how Joymax sees things:

New character that stalls high level items-possible stall character used by goldbots
New characters that get plvl for free right away - possible future goldbots.

That is why they got banned. My suggestion is to play your stall character to lvl him to lvl 10 or something, before stalling.

My account and my wife's is over 2 years old.
Both of our accounts are legit.
Our connection is through a NAT/Firewall so to Joymax we have the same IP.
Both of us have stalled overnight
Both our accounts have had long inactive periods (6 months or more)
Neither of us has bought silk
We have not been banned.

So I'm not sure what the issue these other people are having. Perhaps we just have not met the threshold yet (if there is one). Or our accounts if they look at them are obviously played.

As to the comment that accounts that buy silk are a lot less likely to be banned. Well since Joymax is in the business to make money I can completely understand that.

Perhaps Joymax does have a formula for determining if freeloader accounts should be banned or not. It sucks but its their game and they can do what they want. They could turn all of the servers off tomorrow.

In the User Agreement

Article 3 (Termination of Use)

1. A User who fulfills the conditions below will be considered as a User who has terminated use. The Company can modify and delete his/her account information.
① An account with pre-level 10 characters that has not logged into the game for a period of 6 months, and an account that is not using premium service
② An account that has not been logged in to the game for the past 1 year, and an account that is not using premium service

oh .. the 1 staller is lvl 21. 2 stallers are lvl 5.
