EDIT: actually, having a 50% increase in the resting and natural regen rate could be quite noticable

wait is that HP recovery applied to resting or just natrual standing/fighting/pvping?

Well i have the 25% hp increase and I'm quite positive it applies all of the time, i certainly see a significant difference in my hp regeneration while I'm standing, sitting, etc.
So its not so useless after all, and if i could make it 50% by adding it a second time i most definitely would.

Also i wanted to know, What exactly is attack rating?
How would i benefit from an increase in it?

say you have a dmg range of 1000-2000 a high Attack Rating increases the likelihood of you hitting your max or close to it.

Defense rate works similarly, it increases the chance of you getting hit towards your minimum dmg range

Meh, I personally always found the 25% hp/mp regen useless. Stats I picked for my entire set;

5% parry
5% dmg absorb

5% dmg increase
1 str
1% monster def ignore
5% AR

5% AR

@Bukkake I am also quite curious how you are so certain about one of the more complex questions (HP 25% regen) yet do not know what attack rating is...

And in that sense, you would be wrong too. As attack rating and parry ratio have nothing to do with speed.

Attack rating and your parry ratio are two "opposing" stats. As in, they both factor into the same damage calculation.

Let's say, for the sake of this explanation, that your damage output on a given attack on a given player is 8000~13000.

Parry ratio and attack rating determine, besides a random factor, what amount of damage the player will take/what you end up dealing.

If your attack rating is higher then your opponent's parry ratio, the damage taken by the player ends up being towards the higher end of your damage range. If your attack rating is lower then your opponent's parry ratio, the damage taken by the player is at the lower end of your damage range.

Please explain how I am wrong... that is exactly what Niani said except you added fluff to your answer.

The fact that you quoted the line referring to attack rating, and ignored the fact that he also mentioned the speed at which to attack. You probably meant to quote the second line .

Then I state that Niani is right... except Niani says defence rate is attack rating's yang where he really means parry is.

yeah, I haven't played in about a month so my wording was wrong. so to clear up any confusion on my wording, I'll post what I said again, correctly
