ok so i've been doing this lately with a couple friends

we get a lvl 90 trader and go out and grind on the thief spawns

we get drops like arrows, bolts, pots, gold.

I have yet to see an item drop, or an elixer or a tab.

So has anyone ever gotten a drop period from grinding npc thieves?

I really want to get that 89leg and 90 chest and necklace lol.

(Lv98 thieves spawn!! wtf haha)

yes you can get item drops

I saw a trader getting a sword, that was at low lvl tho.

Sure it`s possible, but like someone said, its very rare.

Last night we robbed a few traders, the person on the behemoth was 86ish. After about 20 minutes he got a 3rd tier wrist. It's rare, but you do get drops. The job system and spawns havent changed since the 80 cap.

It's possible to get equips of em'. I got legs and shoes of em'.

grinding at normal mobs probably didnt drop you any item for days, so it's normal that you didnt get drop from spawn thieves, moreover it might drop something else than 89/90 items, good luck and be patient

last trade run i did we got a 85 cleric rod a 85 shield
but we had 7 80+ 5*s

lvl 98 theives spawn? In that case your npcs are too high to give you a drop, they need to be close to 89-90. You aren't seeing tabs or eqiups because 98 theives are supposed to drop 10D items but there isn't 10D so they drop nothing. You wouldn't fight lvl 78 mobs hoping for a lvl 73 chest and you wouldn't fight lvl 98 mobs hoping for a lvl 90 chest, get a trader around 82-85 to do a 5* with you as the hunter if you hope for drops.

Thieves are just like regular mobs, they drop items/elixirs tabs and even sox items... pretty shit drop rate though

buddy of mine got a 85 glavie.

and long time ago at 70 cap a friend of mine got a sos 24 bow from a thief npc

i get a lot of tab drops but not item drop so far. Killing npc thieves are like killing mobs both will take forever to get drops.

ok well the average theif spawn is lv90-93 but there has been a few thiefs that get in the spawns that are 94-98

but thanks for all the responses guys knowing that other people have for sure gotten drops I'll keep with it

I got a 85 wrist and 87 shoes so far.. They drop, but rare

i dont believe it's THAT rare, i remember when i used to be a hunter, i got some silly items from the NPCs, and also a friend found a 64 sos shield by killing one. THat was before 90 cap tho.

I got an elixer weapon and a sos dagger+2 lvl 32 from thief drops... That's why I like trading, every trade run I do I gain something special

I did a few trades pre-euro to work off murder status in the far reaches of jangan in the lower right corner, one of my freinds got a D7 som boot drop from my thieves back then. Do remember that unlike mob spawns, thieves are consitant you will have a few moments of down time between spawns, if your trader can afford it, grab a transport full of special trading goods, that way you spawn alot more thieves. Also becarefull with whom you party, not everyone is willing to just give away a lvl 90 chest drop valued at 100m+ without anything in return.

yeah trust me I've only got guild people party with me and we talk on vent so don't have to worry about someone being greedy with gear

Do you get a drop in 10 minutes of grinding? No, it's the same rate.

And yes you can cause I got a 72 sword & couple other stuff back at 80cap.

is the exp the same for npc theive as normal mobs their level?

its like finding a SUN

but usually its a blank item (no blues or +)
