ok guys i kinda already making a item database that has all the item names:levels:npc prices: and, I will be adding street prices; or prices that a item will average price of an item that a person should sell it, for like i think it should help some ppl so they dont get that much ripped off. When i started to play sro about 4 years ago i got riped off on almost everything a bought like |sos glavie lvl 32+3 for 12mil. That made me mad when i found out it was only like 7-8mil back then so i will add a poll of should i make a program that will be on a website that says the prices of items\exlirs\weapons\armor\garment\protector\ect.....

How will you do this for each server?

I ask this because prices vary depending on the server, good idea though.

First i will start out with one server that i play on right now oasis and i do have some data on troy and hera but i have some friends that play on othere server but some i dont know i will have a sumbit a price botton some where i think i can update it every week or 2 i am currntly in school so i will still be on it i cant stop playing sro it just my thing.

I have created an excel document for the same purpose but i still need to work on it a little more. If you want I can send it to you just for you to have an idea of me. But I am not good at programming so I would be very appriciated if you can make a program for that.

BTW the prices should be calculated according to NPC prices because prices may very from server to server.

Figures below is just random numbers.
Let's say you have a 17 lvl item to sell. You should check if that lvl item is sold at NPC or not. If it is sold the Suggestedprice should be that one. If it is not sold at the NPC the formula should be this way:

Suggested price = (NPC Price lower lvl + NPC Price higher lvl ) / (Lvl of lower one + level of higher one) X lvl of item to be sold


EG:

Sug Prc (17 lvl) = (20,000 + 30,000) / (12 + 18) x 17 = 28,333


All calculations assuming the item is not pimped. So you need more calculations to calculate the real price of it according to it's + and blue values.

These are my quick ideas. If you want we can work on it together. But as i said i now nothing about programming i can only give you some ideas what to do.

I have took some of that into my thinking i will add the items with "blues" on it like as so

Int 1 increase (+66%)
Str 6 increase (+100%)
Steady 1/Times
Astral 1/Times
ect.... that will come later but yes i will like to include your info. and will add your name and soon hopfully to grow credits

well it sounds good . but dont prices vary depepnding on server (and i doubt u have a friend in each and every server ). also dont price change all the time O.o

It's not hard to check the stall network and get a rough estimate yourself. Prices tend to range server to server, and not only that but at different times aswell.

Not many people will download it if it's a program. Putting the information on a website would be better.

Prices change all the time.. 2 weeks ago protector elixirs were 100k, now they're 200k+ on oasis.
Other items like 9D pimped stuff aren't selling as high anymore, either.

at first it will run off a website but soon i will make a downloadable verision so you can look with out opening your internet

Sounds cool. Will believe it when I see it though. It sounds like quite a un-manageable task.

lol a task like this would require 24/7 updates and lots of human time spent not a feasible task

Exactly. You need constant updates to take into account supply and demand, price inflation, cap increases / drop rate increase, the number of players on each server changing.. blah blah blah

Unless you are working on it multiple times a day, the information would never be timely

i said i would update them once a week on the average price of an item sometimes it will stay the same due to how many of any item is left of it rember though first only the weapons part will be release after that i will start added in "blue items" "items that have pluses on them" and also i already have 1D-4D sos items they really dont change yet so i will show you what it turns out like and dont get mad at me if only a few parts come out at a time i am the only 1 on this project

This in theory is a good idea, but sro like the stock market fluxuates. People will spend more gold on an item if the white %'s are higher or the blues are 100% perfect. How can you make a program if there are more then one possable outcome? Besides it would have to be user inputed, and some people really dont know how to price stuff. This endevour would be entirely to time consuming without much benifit at the end.

Also the price changes according to the % on the weapon

well in the program i will not but the exact price like 354,192 coins/gold it will be a price range as like lets say a lvl 85 sword cost 3.5mil then it would be like 3.2mil-3.7mil thats how i will set it up becuase i have seen stuff like this happen to 2moons until they fixed it so hopfuly it will help

i am not looking for a benifit i am just willing to help out new players and now fall into the mistakes i have done so in the past
