Why would any one spend money (buying silk) inwhich u could'nt log in after 2hours of trying, infested w/ turks (most are scammers, botters, overprice items, greedy adn nooby) and so hard to lvl.

I am lvl 65 now and I have'nt spent any money on SRO not 1 bit I swear particularily because i don't want to dedicate my life to this game brcause when u grow you will have to grow out of it.

Any reasons why any of you spend money ( and i know the suits are once ina life time collectible).

Uh, if it takes you 2 hours to log on (excluding babel), then ur doin it wrong.

But I spend barely any money, just for pet.

well if people dint buy silk, silkroad will shut down

true say but still , some turks will spend $200+ on gold or silk, thats imo ..... geeky!

Like my guidl leader who got hacked when he was a 67 wizzy spent 200$ on silk O.O and got hacked so he charged back and got banned,

I agree. I don't see why people pay 20+ dollars a month on a game with crappy customer service, bots ect... When they could just go play WoW for
the same price

Everyone has different reasons, some do it because they use sro as entertainment, its like going to the movies and buying popcorn and a soda, no you dont have to purchase anything but the movie ticket but that soda sure is nice while your sitting there.

at the start (2years) when i started
i swore to myself i wouldnt buy silk, reason was their was no need and i love grinding
my chinese character BUT.
then servers were so hard to log in on, had no choice but to buy silk

Needed Premium.(to log in)

Orange juice and apple juice are the same price on the shelf, but you want orange juice. What do you choose?

Now replace orange with sro and apple with wow. That's why. imo WoW is way to cartoony that I cannot stand playing. Other people have their reasons as well.

If it makes your game more enjoyable, why not?

On my short stay on venus i brought a monkey: i cant stand grinding without one.. its so inefficient. I also brought a sp ticket: it allowed me to 1/2 gap which made grinding more pleasurable.

Simply if i like something enough i will spend money on it. What else am i gonna do with my money? Let it sit in the bank?

I used to think like you, 'oh well im gonna grow out of it anyway'. The thing is, we grow out of everything, at every age. So im just trying to enjoy and support games I like. Yes joymax service is poor, but if i like apple, i will buy and eat apple, not orange

Lets look at it the other way, say you gonna spend 15bug on a movie, why spend? when you can wait a year or so and itll be on tv? Yet people still go to the movies, in the millions.

mh just bought astrals for almost 1k silk and my bow dont went higher then +6 Now its +0.....
But normally i just get a normal Premium ticket.

It's natural that people dislike everything that they can't get I guess. Most people are very competitive, so they buy silk to keep up with other players. What's wrong with it if you can afford? Why are you trying to make gold, to buy better items? Because you are competitive, if you wouldn't care, then you would just run around naked. Also I see you opening 10 threads atleast per day, you spend alot time on the game, I'd bet my ass on it that you would buy silk Also, if you could afford it. And stop calling people "geek" cuz they buy silk, that's dumb.

that's because you either had no patience to wait for a better time to + up the weapon

or the weapon was just a money pit in the first place

I spend well over 300 bucks on silk I guess..And I only had 4 tickets and 1 skill ticket (2 gold/1 gold prem and 1 silver prem)...I mostly spend it on skill allocation pots and globals and suits, don't forget all the suits

You are lv 65 and still playing. Why? probably because you are enjoying this game.

Why not spend some money on something that you enjoy?

Nevermind what I said here...Since the item mall started I bought 6.8k silk on 2 of my own accounts and I think 1-1.5k silk for friends account, maybe a bit less.

Only for Gold Service and Skill tickets.

Because these people can't play any other game besides SRO xD Most of SRO's players don't have any skill and SRO is the game for them.

This game takes no skill at all, just time and money. Its easy to win, easy enough anyway. You just create a character then go out and kill things, easy enough? Then try pvp and depending on how much time you spent killing things, you will win. Try that with other games such as Real Time Strategy, First Person Shooter, Sports and Fighting Games. Not so easy now is it? xD

Also they say SRO is addictive, I have been SRO Clean-Free for 8 months now xD These players just haven't out and about looking at other games or alternatives. I'm lucky I have. Its time to move on, out with the old, in with the new.

This week of SRO or past weeks have been nice. Bot bans, first try logins, no DC etc But I have seen this before with the early or first 80 cap ban list, lots of famous players got banned. And it seemed like SRO was getting better right? NO. After having faith and buying lots of BS items (angel suit, ox's) what happens? Gold bots return, infest the servers and guess what, Gaymax turns a blind eye on their players. It's funny how gullible some players are to think Gaymax actually gives a damn what their customers think.

You start paying them and they go on holidays. You stop paying them, and they actually do their work. LOL I say just stop paying them and SRO (a game with so much potential) might actually pull through. Stop paying them and their promise of "A Smooth Gaming Experience" will aways come true.

Ofcourse you need another kind of skill for SRO and not the RTS/FPS/Sports or Fighting games style because this is a MMORPG

I can't remember that they did weekly goldbot bans after the 80 cap but that could be me

I enjoy the game , and sometimes when I'm on holydays , and want a boost on my leveling ... I buy premium ticket ... and a pickup pet ... nothing more.

OT: If you like the game (I still do) then go ahead and spend, but in my past experience dating back to DJ, Fly, NB times, we found out JM don't give a #$%^ about the players and still don't, never will. I think some players are just scared SRO might die? yes? no? Don't worry, that is still a long way away. Just keep buying but don't expect a TY, that's all I mean to say.

65? pfft, i never spent 1 penny on thsi game, not on bot silk or gold

since the bot bans i wouldo only buy silk for pets or dresses. i rarely but silk and i'm 54. hand grind.

I spend money on this game becuase i enjoy playing the game and becuase i dont have a job i have to sell my body for money so i can purchase silk.
