Because there will be a bot ban tomorow. They are so active...

Thats their new thing. Weekly goldbot bans to clear up server traffic.

I think they hired a translator or something or at least a GM that speaks English as the first language.

I'll say it again, they are banning bots to allow players to login because of newer games coming out. Examples would be Age of Conan and possible because of the "updated" graphics on runescape.

i'd rather have a goldbot ban than no ban at all...

the server traffic was the thing that bothered me most lately, and since they are fixing that, im happy

i just hope they continue banning them...

what updated graphics? I went there today and runscape graphics still suck, and yes I used the high settings link to access the game

Well, like mike said maybe they're banning cause of the merge of new games and maybe they going into a big publicity campaign so new people join the game. Who knows...

About the goldbot banning. They do it everytime a new cap comes around. It goes for a couple weeks then suddenly stops, until a new cap comes. Standard Joymax procedure.

yea most likely, they wanna find the new generation of silk buyers so they gota make the game appear it's being taken care of.

I believe the 2D was better than the 3D.

I think they noticed a decrease in purchase of silk and players playing the game so they are starting to clean up the game.

During past week I was able to login at first try ALWAYS on Tibet, I just can't believe it. I don't believe they recruit new GM, I believe they just have some automated way to record the names that follow same way points. I have to say that Im really happy with the work that they are performing, but I can't forgive that I was hacked for bugs on their webpages so I will continue playing without silk ^^.

i still have doubts tomorrow will be bot ban. like always i am a person who needs time to gain back trust. so maybe next year, this time if they still bot ban i will click yes heeee

im just glad their actually doing something. but i say in a few months things will be back to the way they use to be

Cause its not out yet, will be at the end up June, first of July.

In order to maintain a pleasant gaming and smooth patching experience, all servers will be undergoing weekly server inspection.

Weekly server inspection will occur every Tuesday.

Game Inspection Period : June 24, 2008 13:00~17:00 Silkroad Standard Time (4 hour duration)

Gold company raise their price making them earn more.
But... Let say players buy the gold on tens of millions basis. How does Gold Company keep up the stock... hmm...

Don't think runescape plays a big factor in that, as the new graphics overhaul won't be great enough to make a huge impact in silkroad.

I think they are banning bots for these reasons:
1/ A lot of new MMORPG are being released
2/ In comparison to last year (botblock with euro-update), there now are a lot less players -> less silkbuyers; so they need new players
3/ GNGWC is coming up and they really can't have bad publicity at that major event

anyone tried Rohan online, is it good?

Something has happened, but this bot ban wasnt really something to hooray for, one lvl 78 unknown player in Aege was banned and that was the highest lvl, bah.
