Media.pk2 change clothes is legit and seeing invisibel and stealth is not legit is editing ur swear filter with media.pk2 legit?(so u can type evryting thing then)

Oh please... Is it just me, or is the concept of legit just becoming cultish. Play how you want to play the game. If you feel like botting, ccfing, editing pk2, scamming; whatever makes your day, then do it. If not, then don't. The community here honestly doesn't care if you do or not; just keep it to yourself.

The majority doesn't care, you just have a couple remaining that still freak and jump at everything and scream bot whenever they can. [For the most part to cover their own asses.]

I care because botters are ruining the game that I play. I shouldn't have to suffer from huge server traffic just because someone is too lazy to play the game properly, or because they want to buy piles of gold just to buy online images. So you're wrong, if this community didn't care about botters then we wouldn't have a 'Exposed Botters' section.

On topic -

What does it matter? If you say 'crap' or 'cr.ap', people still get the message.

my definition to be Legit is to have same condition as everybody else in fighting/pvping etc, and swear filter dont help in those areas but pk2 (to se invis/stealth) makes other submissive (only word i came up with) makes it just boring.
To pk2 clothes dont help in fight either etc etc...

If you honestly want to have a definition of legit, or perhaps question what you do is legit, just look at whether or not your "questionable" actions negatively affect other players' gameplay. That simple.

pk2 Third tier 9th deg to 10th deg and 1st Tier 9th deg to 8th deg. Now you know EXACTLY what level your opponent is and Know EXACTLY who to kill first. You also know who to avoid. Not an advantage?

@Faintsmile, I posted "used to" (i.e.) Legit just meant following the rules. Now we have all these categories that complicate what it means to be a Legit. People like to go into the smallest detail, but w/e.

General Idea of Legit:
Not Buying Gold.
Not Botting.
Not being plvled by a Bot.
Not using third pt programs.
Not using pk2 maliciously.

Keep it simple, keep it sweet.

I mostly agree, except for that "Not using third pt programs.". How the hell are we supposed to log in then? It's become hard even WITH the 3rd party programs. And I know it's against the JM rules, but I fail to see why I should care + it doesn't bother other players

not really, just cuz ppl wear first tier doesnt mean they are low level, i for one am in 1st tier garm set and im lv.75 cuz its pimped and i rather have nice damage then defence since i wont pvp mostly till im cappped....also it would looked pretty messed to see somebody with a mix of 8d,9d and 10d set but i guess it COULD be an advantage to a certain extent, but at lv.80+, you roughly know what level everybody is(if full 9d then they are obviously lv.81+, and ppl that are 85+ are pretty well know on server) so imo its pretty pointless

Barotix aren't you getting tired of this bullshit? Look at the topic title for gods sake, its about using a swear filter. Nearly every thread on this forum is consumed by pointless accusations. It's almost impossible to speak on these forums without censoring what you say, if you hint at anything about using no-dc, loader, bot, or supporting any of them your throat is attacked by a bunch of kids who think banning people from forums is going to save the game.....

Forums should be used to openly discuss everything about the game, but here you cannot. Just because someone pointed out a fact(4reaLz) you now accuse him with bot support and others think he bots now? Player bots don't help the game in anyway, but I know they don't hurt as much as goldbots.

Banning and accusing people on the forums isn't going to save silkroad, its just going to make a bunch of people feel bigger and better about themselves and make them think by accusing and getting people banned it will make them some more e-friends.

I am saying that banning people from the forums over botting and other things is a very stupid idea and it really should be removed so don't mistake that from me.

But really, it has to start with the admins and the mods, you can't tell if someone bots, uses, no - dc, or a loader from text unless they openly admit it. You ban for almost everything else, how about banning for stupidity and false accusations, to maybe shut some of these kids up and allow people to speak 95% freely instead of the normal 50%.

Even if I get flamed and people disagree with my ideas, which I know will happen, good luck cleaning silkroad of all the sinners and have fun letting the idiots run rapid through the forums and the game.

Why did Joymax filter these words out anyway? Let's take it further: why are these words taboo in our daily lives?

It starts off with freedom of expression. Then the arguments go deeper. It touches upon censorship to protect minors, vulgarity and hate speech, etc. etc. It goes through the impacts of variations in these words. (How does "fck", "fack", or "fornication under consent of the king" compare to the real word?) It then reaches relayed important messages during combat. The conditional words "if u" is usually written along on a long sentence, just to find it later censored out. When in war, bypassing the filter can make it advantageous, unless you're using Vent or TS (gasp! Third party programs, nooooesss! banbanban).

It's messy and I don't feel like dealing with it.

Just keep the abusefilter.txt as it is.

Pk2 is prohibited by joymax so yes it's not legal do to swear filter.
