Thats why you + it BEFORE you put blues. There is only 1 way to fix that but you just need a new weapon.

thats not always true, what about the ppl who have sun weapons fully blued and then they up it from +5 to +9 etc im sure its full blue before they try this, so it does mabe add abit of diffulty but who knows

im having trouble atm also with my weapon its been +4 twice but failed +5 both times and i have ran out of elixers and having trouble even +2 +3 it so i grind with it at +1 or +0 :/ when ever i find elixers i stick them on it if it fails who cares i grind with it... my weapon my weapon why do u hate me so much

you could have given me the 55 mill instead of making a +5 >.<

I spent 10mil~20mil making around 5 80+5 bows and sold em for 55mil.(They just love dropping bows to me o.O;).

If the item doesn't make +3 the first few tries it wasn't meant for 5.

I swear that higher D items are harder to + because I found a lvl 76 spear on my nuker and took all my wep elixers and then some just to get to +4 :banghead: All together I used about 40 elixers or so.

Some say you can + things easier if they`re not fully pimped. But still, I used 50+ elixirs on my 85 glavie, it was +4 only twice... >.<

I'd love to see some prove that blue stats affect the succes rate of +ing an item.

And how would they go around proving that ?

They can't, so it's just complete bullshit that blue would lower the + suc6 rate. It's based on the + you're trying to get (higher + is harder to do) and the luck amount (lol) that's on a specific weapon.

Blue stats dont affect the rate of success at all. Its a myth.

Each weapon ever dropped in the server has a hidden chance value. As stated by SilkRoad (JoyMax) in their in game guides, "... each weapon contains a different level of success ..."

So in other words, if you cant get +3 in under 10 elixirs your weapon or armour is unlucky! Remember that premium PLUS gives users 10% increase in success for alchemy jobs, while other premiums are only 5%.

If you cant get +3 with a premium PLUS within 10 elixirs the item is purely not valued as successful.

Think of it this way. Each item has a "hidden" chance value like your other weapon stats, i.e. critical 12 (83%), chance 10 (25%).

My glavie became +5 in under 12 elixirs, while my 85 glavie failed +5 about 7-8 times. Clearly my 85 weapon is not designed to go to +5 with ease. Hence, why some users can continue adding elixirs to get +7 or +9 - because the weapons chance value is higher than most.

My tips:
Try +1 an item without lucky powder. If it fails doing so more than 4-5 times, then you know +3 and +4 will be hard. If an item gets +1 without lucky powder then its chance is a little higher than the average percent.

If you want to experiment buy an NPC weapon and try make it +5. The chance value on an NPC is almost like its stats (0%).

I got my Lvl 42 Spear up to +5 from an NPC in one go, maybe I'm super lucky. I don't use premium or anything, but if the stats are (0%) then it shouldn't have went up to +5 first time.

Anyway +1 to your post, you explained everything thoroughly.

You're wrong. Silkroad call it a Glavie. A Glaive is a real life thing.

See? GLAVIE not Glaive.

What point are you trying to make? EVERY single weapon up to 9D is called Glavie. The mistake seems to be in the 9D weapon.

the point i want to make is simple......that piece of weapon is called glaive and not glavie.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glaive
even if someone makes a mistake we dont have to follow.......is it what they called it
monkey see, monkey do?

I admitted that it's called a Glaive in real life in my earlier post, but in Silkroad it's called a Glavie. So for the purposes of this post we'll call it a Glavie, because this is a SILKROAD forum, not a real life one. See the difference?

Who gives a shit, mine is spelled vie so I'll call it a freakin' glavie. Don't get too worked up about it, most of the kids here haven't yet learned how to spell 'you'.

Premium Plus only gives people 5% lucky.... They changed that a week after they released it. Not only does a weapon have a certain luck %, but each weapon will + at a certain "time".

Premium PLUS has "Alchemy probablity 10%".
Lucky 5% represents drop rate. I asked a GM a long time ago.

Alchemy probability includes: blue stats and adding +'s
Lucky: Increase in drop rate by 5% (tablets, armour, weapons, potions, etc) when fighting monsters.

As for TIME, it wouldnt have a huge impact.
If you played during the old days at 70 cap, you might remember they had a roll-back of around 1 week due to the gold duplication bug.

I had created a 64+7 glaive and 64+7 spear. After the roll-back BOTH went back to 64+4.

I then repeated the alchemy the same way as i did before and got them to +5,+6 and +7 (both) in one go. Which is what had happened before they did the roll-back. Which gave me the biggest HINT that weapons infact have their own unique tracks of success.
