every name can contain 13 chars max and minimum 3 chars. there are 37 different chars (26 letters, 10 numbers and the _ )

so the the amount of possible names = 37^13+37^12+37^11+37^10+37^9+37^8+37^7+37^6+37^5+37^4+37^3 = 250335035999861340251

10 digits, 26 letters which adds up to 52 when using capitalized letters, underscore, up to 13 characters. I have no idea how short of a name you can make for your char, so just let's assume it's 3 (won't make any big difference) .


-3 chars: 63^3
-4 - chars : 63^3

.
. 13 chars ; 63^13

Which adds up to app. 2,46*10^23 combinations.

Then subtract the number of combinations containing "gm", "GM" ,"Gm" , "gM" or any letter-combination that is not allowed. This doesn't make any real difference though, and with Joymax banning 30k bots /week, the bots can keep botting for about 1,52^17 years.

capital letters in names don't matter...

if i make a guy named "test", i can't make a guy named "TEST". It would say it's already used...

Uhmm, i forgot almost all the math probability, but just guess.

3 first letters must be alpha => 52^3
9 following letters is alpha-numeric => 62^9
minus name contain "GM" => C(2,12)*4
C(a,b)= b! / (b-a)!

So #account possible = 52^3 + 62^9 - 4*11*12/(2*3*...*10) = 1.35370865 × 10^16

there are more things not allowed...

that made me laugh for some reason

I love how the servers are populated near the GM's working hours. It's totally pointless for the gold farmers to dc around these hours. There's always someone 24/7 checking the game, updating the site, or whatever. It's as if they think they're hopefully dodging the ban hammer for 9 hours. LOL

They'll give up I'm sure. Just a matter of time.
