Ok. I'm getting fairly sick of people saying things like "you dont buy silk joymax will hax you and take all your gears and golds".

I think it would be great to focus on the positives. Try not to flame plox

I think that Joymax is doing a great job banning bots, its a start. If weekly bans are now going to happen, it will make a much better gaming environment for the legitimate players!

Go nuts.

So far they are doing good, but let's see if they keep it up, cause last time they didn't last more than a month. Hope this one sticks. As gold prices are already increasing it seems

I think joymax did such a F*CKING shitty job treating their costumers that now even the smallest things make you seem so grateful.

OT: These so called 'botbans' are not making up for the past 2 years that JM was ruining this game. I truly hope that JM's attitude towards bots has changed now.

Don't get me wrong, i have no hate whatsover against JM, but i just think that they are unnecessarily sucking @ their service.

I love how each race and class has it's own strengths and builds and no one class owns all the others. Very well balanced. Hope they can do it with Islam when it comes out in the next 20 years.

I think when I made that thread, I got my first SoX drop.

I really think Joymax is doing a good job with these new bot bans about every week. I used to play on Venice, and for several months, it was practically impossible to log in, even at 2 in the morning, without premium. I don't play Venice anymore, and moved to Venus ( <3 ) but it's amazing I'm actually able to log onto Venice now even during the day. I just wish I could move my stuff from Venice to Venus. Oh well. That character will just remain dormant.

It took Joymax a long time to do anything about the bots, but now they are starting to crack down on them. There are a lot of bots to go, and more are created all the time, but it is definitely a start, and a lot more than they used to do.

Provided they keep doing it. I can actually log in within 15minutes of trying for the last 2 weeks, but not daily though.

A bit better but not enough. If they dont make a checksum checker server side and an autoblock moded client, nothing will be fixed till the end

I'm sure the bot writers will find a way around checksums. It shouldn't be too hard to send a valid checksum to the server.

I still think server-side monitoring of character activity would work nicely. The server can analyze player movements, determining what "bot waypoints" each character keeps hitting regularly. Either temp, or perma-ban characters that act suspicious (hit the waypoints "too often", synchronize movements with other characters, etc).

You guys should be happy that Joymax is even allowing you to log in.
Like it says in the cabal forums

Logging in is a privilage not a right

So you guys should enjoy the game while you can and stop ranting on about how bad the servers are etc etc.

Nah im not sorry, babel through and through. Thought of moving to venus, but i dont have much time to play at the moment anyway, everything is really busy

Just because they banned a couple of goldbots, for a few weeks, doesn't mean they're going to do anything 'bout it forever >.> They're probably going to release 1 or 2 more bot ban lists, then that's that. You will all hate them like before, shit, this circle is going like this forever.. Each time they ban goldbots, you all think they are actually starting to do something

If JM bans bots once a week then SRo will be one of the best free MMORPGs out there. The MAIN REASON is because bots PREVENTS legit people from logging on. Bots getting exp for free does not piss me off NEARLY as much as not being able to log on.
