Why do gold bots bot for gold at the low levels like water ghosts. Wouldn't it be smarter to gold bot at like snipers where a weap drop can be worth millions?

In case you didn't realize, you have to start out at lv 1, you can't just choose to create a character at lv 85.

also they dont need pots to kill mangyangs and theres barely any1 around to ks them. plus lvl 1 mobs are alot easier to kill than lvl 80+ mobs and party mobs

...I know. but gold bots have been around for a long time and they've never been gold botting at the higher levels, only at low levels.

...I know. but gold bots have been around for a long time and they've never been gold botting at the higher levels, only at low levels.

Man anyone with a brain cell can see that everything from D7 (or lower) upwards are expansive. Horses, HP MP pots etc. Plus, they are gold bots company, thats what they do, days in days out. They are the pro at farming gold. I think it is safe to say that they know what they are doing.

I believe they allow them to stay on the same mob till gold stops dropping. I've seen 42 weapon gold bot on earth ghost.

also you get increased drop rates at green creatures, which is why you see them the next degree of what they are killing, we might get gen gold bots at 120 cap, but its just not practical to do right now, plus gold bots level slow grinding on lower lvl things all the time

this is one of many reasons, but i'm sure it wasn't intentional just one of the many random affects that they do to silkroad

1.) so that many low levels would report low level gold farmers and stack up the bug report list with useless gold bots to ban.

The only worth while gold bots to ban are the 42+ because it takes them much more effort to hit these levels at a grand scale. If I were a GM i'd let them run around from 1-42, then i'd start ban hammering them after they get to that level, and let them have fun back at mangyangs again.

It's true it becomes expensive to the company, but what I find funny is that.. most gold bot companies don't go with the old 'slap slap heal'. They actually use skills now which makes their gold farming more efficient, but the same time less. Using gold to earn gold. I also find it unbelievable that some companies had 'left over' cash to buy their 75+ silver premos(A few fully farmed in a tree or two. Makes me lul at the same time realize that the gold bot has been out so long)

They transfer the gold every day or so. So by the time you do ban them they got their gold and restart. Sure it may seem great, but you still let them have the gold. Also they don't run around and catch gold bots.

The game itself detects gold bots. You'd think a small staff would run around and ban 30 thousand bots?

The reason ( i believe ) they dont grind on higher level mobs is because the drop rates for those mobs are much lower. Drop rates of mobs about lvl 60 and below are reasonble, though once you hit caves and talka the drop rates become much less.

nukers that can 1 nuke green or blue mobs earn good on gold. 1 high lvl item drop can worth more than 2 or more low level item drops.

There were some gold bots there, but now they are very few cause JM has finally stepped in =] They are at Ghosts cause they prolly get banned before the list is even posted. At those lvls if you have trouble with gold bots, I suggest going to euro mobs till about lvl 20 or so.

Plus the fact that gold companies gain most of their gold due to the selling of elixirs, getting elixirs can be done at lower level mobs they just focus on quick spawn rate places.

well, u see, goldbots are getting banned weekly, in a week a goldbot will reach around 35 (dont know lol), and then they will be banned. they will keep folowing the same routine :O. i believe before jm did these bans, there were prolly goldbots at high lvls too O.o

There are and were tons of gold bots in TaklaMakan. Most were lvl 76 grinding on Niya guards.

I didn't really see anyone with the best and correct answer.. so I'll post it!
Don't get me wrong, most people that posted had good posts.. but anyway,

The reason they bot at low levels like water ghosts, is because they need to reach a higher level to be able to bot on snipers.
Goldbots from gold companies are self-sustaining. They start out with 0 gold bashing mangyangs, then move to the next mob they can make any profit from.. etc.
They level slow because blue mobs give low exp, BUT the ones who make it to high levels (the ones that don't get banned) bot in takla, at the 80 cap it was at snipers. At the moment there are some goldbots on snipers/hunters, but mostly mages it seems (I saw two die today, which made me lol).

Every so often they give whatever profit they make to the collectors account, keeping enough gold for them to buy enough pots to remain profitable.

Basically.. gold never gets transferred to the goldbots, only taken. They never get powerleveled so that they can bot on higher mobs (well, player bots who run goldbots might).
They start at 1, and reach x level killing blue mobs.

- they use low lvl imbue, because you can still one hit the mobs as pure int. dont need much mp since youre full int in garms, dont need much hp since you bot at 6-7 lower mobs

- the bot doesnt get stuck

- they can one hit them too, so its the same shit. There were bots at snipers for months, fullyfarmed to 80 w/o weapon tree, but jm banned them..so..

Level 85 gold bots on wing tribes/gaurdians...=( It's plenty efficiant at higher levels. The reason everyone else has low level bots is cuz JM banned the high level ones so they had to start over. Common sense.

On the other hand, poor babelfase. We got them everywhere haha.

whats interesting is that on venice if you stand around hotan sometimes goldbots will invite you to auto share parties. also there ar e quite a few pure int wiz bots lvl 5x killing the shades. so either those were player bots, or they're getting smarter
