Hi :)

I was talking to one of mah friends online today and he was powerleveling his noob character. He got it to lv 9 then stated to add skills saying that you can only have a 9 gap. I think ive seen it somewhere around here before but i dk. What hapens if ur gap is greater than 9?

Thanks

Actually it's same Sp at say a 10 gap as a 9 gap, but less XP. I tested this on a noob char. SO an 11 gap would be 9 gap sp, but even less XP than a 10.

Well it will be less exp if you stay on the same mobs. Say if you have a lv 9 character with a 9 gap killing a lv9 mob. If that person lvls to 10 with 10 gao but still kill a lvl 9 mobs, you will get less exp. You need to killer a higher lvl mob.

Short story: Same exp/sp after 9 gap.

Xp decreases after a 9 gap still....I have tested it

i would say a degree it would just be:

exp 9gap exp 10gap
________ = _________
lvl 9 mob lvl 10 mob

and if you cross multiple then you will see in ratio it is the same ^.^

(i hope this is right im really tired)

I'd say only good for powerfarm.

What test did you carry out? I was led to believe that this wasn't the case, the best experiment would be:

i) Get pfarmed at Ongs lvl 22 with a 9 gap
ii) Do the curst heart quest, turn it into a 10 gap
iii) Assess the results.

I've always been told (and shown evidence) that your theory is wrong. You get the same EXP/SP at 9 gap as you do with more than a 9gap.

It's not true that you get less exp. Easy way to find out: Grind a mob at a 9 gap. As soon as you level up and get 10 gap, grind on the same mob. You will get less exp now because you are a higher level than before. But if you change your gap now again to 9, you will get the same exp as at 10 gap.

actually the best way to test this is to plvl two characters at the exact same time, one keeping a 9 gap and the other having masteries at 0 and see if thers a difference in lvlin. however you cant add any one else to the party ebsides those two chars and a plvler or else the pt lvl to mob ratio will change throwing things off. i think this was one of the main reasons i felt that havign a larger gap helped in slowing down xp gain, people in pt kept changing...
