Why?

Why do almost all people use Light imbue at 90 cap instead of Ice?
I understand for pure int's fire isn't a very good option *because you need snow shield and speed* But why light over Ice? light has worse damage then fire and it's affect isn't really all the good either. While Ice can freeze and frostbite people.
So why is Light>Ice?

I might be wrong, but Lightning has a much higher damage output than Ice and also gives the chance of electric shock status, meaning their parry ratio is reduced and you can get big hits into them. Cold does hardly any damage and has a very low freeze probability, so lightning > cold.

True that, and the fact that there are more people immune for ice than for lightning.

Not only the above reasons, but lightning arc's. That means you have a good chance of hitting nearby enemies. Int users push a lot of damage with light, so arcing could kill or mortally damage a second or third opponent. Ice, well it can freeze, and is annoying, but any good player is immune, so no reason to get too much into for anything more then just snow shield.

Hmm i used to have ice and light imbue, i would use ice when the person wasn't immune and use light if they were. Its so good when Strs are not immune and your not in snow (be being pure int spear) it helps so much.

lightning splashes the effects of lightning chain as well as stun and ice messes up the bicheon stabs

+1, good for jobbing, thats why i chose light imbue aswell.
damage aint a lot worse then fire (it hardly is worse at all)
and in a 1vs2 you give two ppl diversion / bleed / impotent and later on fear, dull, stun etc..

My guild master just switched to cold imbue they damage is just a little less not much and is extremely happy about making the imbue change. The light imbue only splashes if the enemies are close together he is not saying switch to cold nukes only cold imbue.

But at 90 cap a lot people won't be imune to Ice because a lot of the are dropping fire. so wouldn't Ice be better then?

Lvl 30 fire gives enough reduce on the fire shield skill to be immune against ice.

If you use light and ice for... lets says Wolfs/Tigers/Horse's Thunderbolt
you can deal damage and Frost bite all targets at once.

Ice is only good against high lvl noobs
