Why would it be different?
You think anyone could prove it, if it was already different?

Damn I must have heard the '**** you JM cant make +3 with premium' line over a thousand times now o_O

OT: If you are thinking that because the STR, INT and HP buff have been increased it will be harder to make them - It won't.. Its % stuff afterall. So its all the same.

IMO it seems that 9th Alchemy has a higher failure rate then 8th.
It has been discussed a lot in our union since the update.

not true. think about it, if b4 they had str of 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. chance was 20% at getting max. now they have 6 as well in D9 that makes the chance around 16-17%. more options means a harder time to max the stat.

Yes its very diffrent.. its sometimes hard to get +2 on weapon lvl 85 with PREMIUM PLUS.. thats a bit unfair.. but this is game :| all my guild had truble to make somtime 9d +2.. +5 is like 8d +7 i think now..

So you are saying it is harder to get the crit maxed on a Sun weapon rather than on a regular one? I hope you can see what I mean...

the minimum str/int was raised with the maximum, i believe. im not positive there. i think that basically the d9 blues are same odds as before cept 1 higher.

I don't think the rate of alchemy success differs between D8 and D9. Just because a few people are having bad luck with alchemy, they use JM as a scapegoat to their failures.

Just because an 85 weapon won't go +5, doesn't mean 9D alchemy is harder.

actually one thing i noticed is that someone here mentioned that they couldnt + the weapon AFTER they got 61% phys...

ive heard that the chance to + things is easier when the stats on the item are lower, meaning if you +5 it THEN do the stats you'll probably use less elixirs.

thats just something ive heard, although i did get my sword to +3 on the first shot when it had bad stats, and then did my %'s, and was pretty successful with that method. who knows, it might not have made any difference, but at least its something to try.

Doesn't sound plausible to me.

Its random, explain my 85 staff needing only 5 elixirs to +5 then burning over 400 elixirs on my 85 ring today and its still +3 if its not random

Either it's a luck factor on each item or perhaps just the luck of the day, but I've had trouble getting some items to +3 and any alchemy on them, and others just went straight to +4 (which is enough for me for 1st tier), and had almost every stone successful without assimilation.

its all about luck.. luck on the item luck on the char and luck on the stone/powder

It took all of my weapon elixirs to make my spear, and i never get beyond +3. Besides, out of 10 tries, i could only make +3 for like 4 times. I really have hard time to + my weapon!! DAMN

10-12-14-10-10-10-10-10-12-14-10-10-10-10-12-14 or something like that

tried to pimp phy of 85 blade, ended up assimilating mag attck/both reinforce all to 0%, needed to get them back up again

+5 other 85 blade wif 5 elix straight, fail +6 but not destroyed
+5 same blade wif 10 elix again, fail +6 again and destroyed

They're the same it's just the item itself that has 'bad luck'. Somewhere in the help it says each item has it's own luck rate or something like that.

I noticed that I have better luck right after a lag spike, for example move items in your inventory until u get a 5sec delay, then try right after, I seem to have better luck that way. Oh and stay out of towns too.
