Beware a new way of scam

Post by NuclearSilo »

(or old if i missed -.-)

Before, the scammer told u to join his pt share so when u drop smt and pick it, it will go to the inventory of the scammer.

Now, it's a pt distribution. U think it's safe to drop. But no. Actually, standing next to u is a rogue or wizard invisible ready to pick your item up at any time

While it is possible, the chances of that happening would be pretty low. The scammer who tells you to drop the item would be too greedy himself to let another rogue or wiz take the item.

Also the stealth rogue or invis wizard has to have a way to track the scammer, which means the guy who gets duped, the scammer, and the rogue/wiz has to be in the same pt. The guy who's getting scammed will immediately notice the transparency of the stealth rogue/invis wiz nearby.

Unless of course, this is a joke topic. In that case, lol.

well item distro parties are just lame aside form both exp/item distro, and just another reason to party with people you know and semi trust, i've lost items and gotten them back and have given items back that came to me. But you run the same risks going solo, i've droped my good sheild before only for a gold bot to decide it was going to take it

Or , scam used in Guild Wars (My dear friend used it , he was really successful)

Move away from them like 15 meters ... Tell them to drop the item --> Teleport (Return / Death Charge - Assassin Skill for teleport in Guild Wars (to targeted ally) ) and then just pick up the item (teleports near you and tapps "G") ...

Item Share: drops are given randomly to party members
Item Distribution: the player that deals the highest damage to the mob that dropped the item gets the drop

lol nuclear thats a old way of scaming....
the new way of scaming is the glitch one
where you have the real copy of the weapon and the other person has the fake copy...
that use stall and other stuff to make the glitch happen...

it happen to my friend he lost his sword (+100%)
he showed me how they did the glitch is pretty cool....

Play along until he asks you to drop, then drop a cape. Watch him scramble for his 5000 gold cape.
