Please just answer the question without writing other information that render useless/unrelated to the topic. Answer:
Mine is the ability to play a fictional character and gain control of it. Even though other games offer the same features, Silkroad, to me, is unique and is by far a game with one of the best graphics in any MMORPG (IMO). Also... I tend to play archers on any MMORPG and Silkroad has the best Archer skills in any MMORPG I have played

Edit: Talk about the positive things about the game... Hopefully it will get some newcomers to play the game and look for the positive side of the game and motivate them to continually play it.

And i guess a little bit of the game itself, It is quite addicting When you can actually play.

Well back in 2005, when i first started to play Sro, my main drive was the fact that it was a fun game. After the lag,bots,bugs,no service, got worse i lost the "Fun" which the the game original gave me. However i found a new one, i play because i enjoying grinding with my Guild mates and they keep me going. If they were to quit i would too

short-term- getting Butterfly Blow! It's so beautiful ^_^

long-term- get to cap

Meritorious graphics, moral gameplay, and I like the people in-game.

Q: What motivates you to play SRO?
A: My motivation to play SRO now is just to see my character in the 10d Armor/Protector/Garmet with their 10d weapons.

the community system. It's not like other online games. When i took a screenshot when i first started playing, i look back at them and i can see the low lvl ppl i did not know then, but either became my best friend or my most hated enemy. Its just cool that its a closed server system, so you grow up with the same characters, like it or not

and i did quit for a bit, tried out some other games, and ultimately always come back to sro. because there is one character that represents your personality and sticks to you, thats why i'm always going to be a blader no matter what.

Used to be me mates + guild but all them either left or botted*LOL so i gave up on sro a few months after euro patch came out and moved to PerfetWorld <- Gotta Love It Or Hate It

i play mainly for my friends, ppl i know online. also i love the game. yes it has TERRIBLE customer service and the whole deal with the bots >.> but it's still the BEST game out there for me . still can't leave it even after trying almost all the other mmorpgs.

Just loving the game....i still don't understand all the people that never stop complainig but continue playing...

I don't care about the traffic the bots the ks the missing costumers service...i just love the game as it is, and i can't even imagine how cool it would be if everithing was pefrect ( i haven't played from the beginnig so i haven't seen the perfect 60 cap as everyone say...)....

So what keeps me going is 1) The game itself 2) The fact that with not many Bulgarian players (compared to other nations) we manage to do great things 3) All the friends i've met ingame, some in real life too after meeting them in the game.... 4) Supporting, helping and always having fun with my guild - all 3ABEPA Guild

Hmm, not to derail the thread, but what has changed as far as the PK system? I murdered a few stalls outside of DW south (I was super bored on one of my low lvl clerics) and the system seemed the same. I had to die to get rid of it, and I dropped my stuff..

Please enlighten me.

Silk Road has the best Skill animations, hands down. People say Bladers level slow, well once you get the 29 chains you seem to forget about leveling speed because those are some sexy chains.

Silk Road gets to me because of the Skill animations and the remaining Legits on venus (love you guys [no homo, where applicable ]), only two games are capable of taking me away for extended periods of Time.

The thing that keeps me here is the great potential the game has. It makes you wonder why they would let bots destroy it so much

Now we need motivation to play this game

btw are you ever going to get to 40 on Barotix, i saw you get on it the other day, if you want i can plvl you last bit of the lvl so i can get the honor points

I guess maybe it was the graphics style i really liked about the game, plus talking to people from all over the world is cool

iSRO- I play iSRO purely for the people and all the fun I have there.

ecSRO-When I want to enjoy the game by itself I play ecSRO.

the fact that its the only one with a proper trading method, i love the triangular conflict but i do have to say it has been ruined by botted thiefs/hutners ect.

i enjoy also the guilding system, the alchemy is also a change.

I agree with Pinoyplaya and Barotix, SRO simply has very beautifully animated attacks. Its just a lot of fun to watch my characters fight. The people responsible for the art direction and art in general for this game deserve much more praise than they get.

It's just too bad we can't say the same thing about the company's management XD

above all the job system. its the most unique idea/concept of any mmorpg and theres nothing more fun in sro than ambushing and stealing a huge 5* caravan of a rival guild.

I'd quit if they left.

I've had 2 or 3 SRO characters, never made it to above 30 because it got boring and I died to often etc.
I'm giving it another go just because it's a fun game and the best free mmorpg that i know. I like teh shiny skillz

Taking hours just to get in
The number of bots in the game
How it freezes my comp
