9 Gapping all the way?

I would get Premium Plus but.... then... I wouldn't want to be committed to play for 5 hours per day and end up not using all of it.

So I was just thinking of doing a 9 lvl gap as a chinese char all the way to probably lvl 60 or so and start 0 gapping at lvl 0. Would it be possible?

I will be questing while 9 gapping also....

I know it will be possible but how long will it take? Or will I lose patience and get bored?

yes you will ...i have done ALL my builds that way ... and ALL my builds are farmed ...

and YOU are more than likely speaking of a 3-4 mastery build which is not how joymax has stated from beta on how to build your character

ya i plan on doing that after i lvl Foudre up enough to get my 80 wiz skills which will probally be about 2-3 months if i stay semi committed, 65 now no ticket gota farm hearts and sp, but after that i'm going to pfarm my chinese force blader. But going 9 gap the whole way is insane i couldn't make it past 32 9 gaping the whole way, i mean it wasn't too bad but after long time at hte same lvl you begin to wanna make progress or spend that sp. I recomend farm or do smaller constant gap, then again i'm not the worlds most patient person

It will take you years to get to 60 with a 9 gap the entire time. You are better off powerfarming for 3-4 weeks then just leveling the rest of the way.

It took me 2 month of gt to lvl from 52 to 56 under 9 gap.

you only need to 9 gap for a *relatively* short while to get more than enough sp for a build.

my euro i was pfarming got about 60-70k in just 57-60 at not even 9 gap.

id say, head over to nivlam and look at their gap calculator and skill calculator - find a good place to get all your sp in as few levels as possible so you dont have to move around all the time, especially if you're pfarming, you dont want to have to move your operation every day.

But that is of course if I don't do quest. If I do the quest, I will gain less cuz I will gain more XP and lvl up faster thus not gain more SP.

So with quest I will probably loose around 50k SP or so. So 3 Gapping from lvl 16-90 I will gain roughly no more than 378,592 SP.

That's only half of what I need.

I would need to be 6 gapping to meet the amount of SP I need to be fully farmed at lvl 90.
6 Gapping from lvl 16 to 90 will gain me 923,109 SP

lol, gap 9 = such low exp (i got 0.01 per 21 nachals at lvl 72... just an example)
gap 9 leaves no exp at all, so you can gain sp... lvl 1-60 on gap 9 is maddness ^___^

0 gap to 50, getting only your fighting skills and imbue (or nuke + shout) and maybe grasswalk, nothing else, then from 50-59 lvl up but leave skills at 50 so at 60 you'll have a 9 gap (well 10 but you can fill it later)

no point 9 gapping at low lvls if you arent going farm a lot because 9 gap from like 1-50 is same as 1 9 gap lvl at 60, so just get to 60 faster then 9 gap and delvl a few times, you'll save time and pretty much still get same amount of sp

also at 60 with your 9 gap, slowly fill in your buffs and other skills you want

theres always the dynamic gap method - on my first character i followed this method till about 55.

simply put, you level up masteries and skills as you gain the sp, getting everything you want, but never letting the mastery go above your skills. level up a mastery once that entire level's skills are filled out the way you want them.

this will dynamically balance your skill gap to where you get the sp you need each level at about the same rate as the exp. it comes out usually to somewhere between 3-6, depending on what skills and what level.

it actually works pretty good for just general leveling up because you dont get nothing of either sp or exp and the game isnt too slow to be playable. i remember when i was in my 40s using this method passing up some of my friends who did the whole farm a bunch, then 0 gap for a while pattern.

one thing i need to point out, pinoy, is that youre thinking too simply. you dont need to play the entire game at a single gap. 16-90 at 6 gap would be hardly different than 50-90 at 6 gap (845969). in fact, if you wanted to just get 700k sp by lvl 90, you'd only need to go 70-90 at 6-gap, and could take 1-70 at 0 gap (i dont think you could do that though). the point is, taking low levels slowly is a waste of time if youre going to take high lvls slowly. you'll get more sp per kill at high levels and will probably spend equal or less time on each kill.

my recommendation:

take the low levels as fast as you can, possibly follow a dynamic gap till at least 60. dont waste time farming sp unless you wanna do almost all of it at that level. trust me, delvling is a pain in the ass you dont want.

high levels you can farm all the sp you need in just a few levels. it takes forever, it always does. for instance, lvl 75-79 at 9 gap gives 624,327 SP. if you take the rest of the game up to 74 at 2 gap, and then 0-gap from 80-90, at the end of the game you'd have 870,302 SP, so 170k surplus.

my point is that you just need to learn certain areas, find some specific farming points on the map that also give you benefits besides sp/exp, such as valuable elements or drops, and just do it there.
