SRO CLIENT IS NO DC NOW!!!!!

ooo really? ... dammit why did i buy premuim

you're kidding? Well, I guess i won't have to wait until the summer before I start playing hardcore again. (1 week and 3 days until summer starts, all times are school days ^^).

OMG i noticed this by coincidence!!!
maybe they got fed up of people downloading no dc clients anyway..
next legend update:
original sro client has infinite zoom and is bot compatible

i didnt even notice before.. venus had like 500 free spots when i logged in =/

hes right. i just tried it and u have to wait a little bit but still nowhere near as annoying as shutting it down and restarting!

Sad thing is servers are full only days after the new client update. Still, removing the dc on failed log in was so long due.

Great now lets all get banned from SRF.

They have done this after each update then shortly it gets removed. So cross your fingers I suppose.

I don't think you people realise that this isn't going to make too much of a difference. You're not the only ones with a nodc client, everyone else will be trying to log in constantly at the same time as you. Sure, it feels like you're getting somewhere because you don't need to keep loading up SRO, but in theory, it's probably not going to make that much of a difference. Who knows, maybe I'm wrong. People are still going to buy premium to get in first time.

It would only make a good difference if you are the only one, or one of the few who is using no-dc

Take for example ECSRO..the routine to login is to just place a heavy object on the enter button, you think you would get in easy, but it still takes 1 hour+ sometimes lol

Well after all, Joymax fixed the 'disconnect from server' bug specifically to attempt to shut down SRF. Get the entire user base using NoDC, and massive insta-ban of all users from SRF.



We'll all just have to migrate to the official forums now.

Edit: This thread should be stickied (if it's not already) so people know to stop using the no-dc client, which they should never use in the first place.

Isn't it like you don't have to type the image verification code every time you cannot connect? Seems like a big advantage..
Though idk cus i still have to download the new version ^^

No, you still have to type the image verification code each and every time. The only difference is, if you can't connect 'due to server traffic', you just have to wait 3 seconds and hit 'connect' again, type the image code, 'server traffic, 'connect', code, fail, 'connect', code, fail, bang head on wall repeatedly...

I have never used or seen the no-dc client, but I imagine it works the same way. It would be nice if you didn't have to type the image code over and over, but at least you don't have to wait for the entire application to reload.

Ah, back to the good old days of connecting. ;D

Until Joymax posts in their News section that their client does not disconnect, I don't feel this is real.

No, the good old days were hitting enter until you got the veri-code then typing it as fast as you could.

Then we got clever and used two pc's, one to pull up the code, enter it, then submit it when the other pc got the code. THOSE, were the good old days.
