whats the flag event ? i was still not playing in the last one so i don't know what it is

Hello. This is Silkroad Online.

"Capture the Flag!" in Silkroad Online!
"Capture the Flag!" event will be showing its appearance on May 20th, 2008.


[Event Outline]

Item: Collect 10 tickets to receive a reward.


[Event Procedure]

1. When a notice regarding the match appears 10 minutes before the start of the match, players will be able to register for the event by talking to So-Ok located in each town. The match will be proceeded every 2 hours.

2. Participants will be summoned to an arena when the match begins.

3. Participants will be proceeding the match with other players of similar level.
When entering the arena, participants will be wearing either red or blue exclusive outfit to easily distinguish allies from foes.

4. The match will be proceeded for 20 minutes. Once the match begins, monsters will be summoned, and certain monster will drop a key. When the dropped key is obtained, the door to a room with the flag will automatically be opened.

5. The team with the flag attached to their flagpole at the end of the match will win. If no team succeeds in attaching the flag to their flagpole, the match will end in a draw.

6. When the match ends, only the winning team will remain. The team that has lost or ended in a draw will return to the town automatically.

7. Members of the winning team will receive 1 ticket in their inventory as a reward.

8. If a participant defeats a participant of the opposite team, he/she will receive 1 ticket. However, this does not apply when defeating a participant with more than 9 level difference. Bring 10 tickets to So-Ok in town, and you will be able to exchange to an item.


[Things to Note]

1. You may only enter the arena under the following situation:
a. You are alive in town
b. You are not wearing a job equipment of free battle cape
c. You do not have a stall opened
d. You are not exchanging items
e. You are not proceeding a movement quest(ie. A quest prohibiting you from using return scrolls and dimensional gates)

2. There are the minimal number of participants restriction and equality restriction of number of team members. If there are number of participants less than the restricted minimal number of members indicated below, the match will not start and if there is any team that has more members, the last participant(the last registered) will not be able to participate in the event.

3. There will be 5 second delay when attaching the flag to the flagpole.

4. If you die during the match, you will be moved to your camp after 30 seconds, and there will be no experience points penalty regarding the PK rule.

5. In order to receive a ticket by defeating a player of the opposite team, the level difference between the enemy and you must be below 9.

6. In order to receive a ticket after winning the match, there must be at least one empty slot in your inventory. Please make sure to empty a slot in your inventory before the end of the match.

So is it basically the same as last time? Spawn Killing is still possible? BS

This should be interesting, since I was taking a break from SRO when they last had this event.

w00t paying for silk for the past year is finally paying off.

Now they just need to add arenas and such. WTB bigger game.

Oh yeah, is it like the christmas event where if you killed the event monsters and traded in the pairs of socks you got Lucky 6-7th degree stones and other random junk..

If so I got like six 7th luck degree stones from it

its a kinda new Pvp System like team pvp and u need to capture the update

What realy nice is that D9 lucky stones might be a present for 10 flags

So, if you kill someone, you dont get murder status or you just dont lose exp?

Is it like free for all killing??

yes it is for free killing and as i remember the good points to this events was the begginign of them when you kill the monsters, the monsters are as powerfull as GPs maybe more im not sure and 10 yes i think 10! of them spawn, meaning awesome xp and sp reward when you kill them. After you got the key it was no more enjoyment for alot of players almost i would say 99% of the time one team would be able to camp in the others with there full team, baring in mind each person has a 30 sec delay, 1 v 8 ? no chance. I was lucky i was a wiz when i first played this on hera and i would come out with 30+ tickets, mainly due to the fact i could 1 hit everyone :/ but allas i dont have a mage i have a lovely int spear, watch me die in these events too all the wizs >>

this event sucked last time, it didn't work at all, and you have to participate at least 10 times, i'd rather grind a nd get jewel boxes

the best one i got was 100... i think i remember someone saying they got a 1000 sp reward

most of mine were 1 or 5sp anyway =.=

I hope they re-introduce the pandora boxes would be awsome!!

Just did the event for the first time.

I was the only blader, every1 else was chinese nukers.
We had no euros. lol

The oposing team was well balanced in terms of what builds they had.
We won farily easily, i only died once and after a few mins we just ended up camping them.

Its fun, but the camping seems boring, they should have a respawn room where its actually safe.
