Well i visited this rev 6 website and i noticed that they now have a way to check peoples Alias. I thought that the whole point of an alias was to have a secret identity to steal/ murder people and they would have a hard time figuring out who it was.

Also some people do want to keep there job private from other people so that there are no hard feelings if one has to kill /steal from a friend. But since rev 6 has done this then whats the point of Alias?

from what im reading, the alias they put down is actually your grant name, not job name...

Nope, its just messed up. Mine isnt my grant name nor my alias, it aint even the correct job.

actually its been like that for several months now and i never said i love you on a video game before...

Yes, rev6 sux bawls, no one should know any of the info they got on players.

Even though I think the whole alis system is gay though, i'd much rather know who ppl are.

Thats why you should always put a tag in ur name, like the 2 or 3 characters(like BB(bloodyblade union )). It really helps u know

I`m not worried bout that... Half of the best hunters/traders on Babel knew my first Alias.. They knew me.. But they couldn`t do anything against me.. They lost to me in pvp.. After they lost to me in Job war... >.> Whats the problem? So yeah, when you rob your friend, or union mate, yes, thats bad.. But except that.. I dont see anything that bad in it..

Edit. I just checked my char there, they got wrong info on me... xD I got +3 glavie, and it isn`t my real alias xD

When i played on Hera it had my correct alias name...
And i also belive thats one thing they shoudlnt have on the site :/

Sensitivity to accept alias on a player is too low...
It has been updated a few week ago but they haven't reseted the previously recorded fields...

They are now reseted so there is currently no false data in it.

Newer sensitivity is based on the following criteria:
guild name,Server,char type,Weight,Height,Level,slot weapon,slot body

So to have wrong value, you would need to have 2x player in the same guild with the same char type (monkey face example) with the same height and weight when they where created there is 5 size smallest, small, med, big, biggest for both the weight and height for Chinese.
Need to have the same level estimation and the same weapon and armor type and also the +? on those 2 items.

If all of the above match for only 1 player, they are considered as a perfect match and the job player name is assigned to the actual player.

Well this is for your own interest to be aware of.
They might increase there sensitivity even higher to prevent even more false data but they consider those as being enough.

So a way to cheat the system is not to have the same weapon when your on a job compared to when you play normally. So you won't be detected by there system, well for now...

it's update via the bot that they put out, not specific times. So if you're not around anyone botting with thier bots, you can never be traced.

WOW, such a clear and well-supported statement.

i personaly hate rev6. the fact that it reveals aliases is stupid enough but it also shows everyone who has the sickest gear, thus making them targets for hackers.

Rev6 Sucks.

They're not putting out any information that is not sent to the client, and can be read by any modified client (or a TCP trace). They're just making sure that in stead of just a few cheating bastards having that information, everybody has it. Joymax should change their client/server setup to avoid sending out information that is not needed, like the + on my gear (other than weapon/shield), the tier of my gear, and the location of invis/hiding people (which can be made visible with a PK2 edit now). Perhaps by making it public, Joymax will be forced to take action.

It's like the Joymax Portal exploit they posted last year. Joymax still claims it didn't exist, yet did fix it after rev6 put up the first part (which I used to hack back the character that was stolen from me 10 months before that, so yes: I'm sure it worked).

even though rev6 shouldn't exist,
the fact that it's here force some improvment to happen...

^ rev 6 should atleast have liek a page for people to request there imformation taken down. Some f the beauty in MMO's is trying to have people guess what skills and items you have on that mkaes you so godlike. But rev 6 destroyed that part of the game.

You can see their skills and their level based off their skills if theyre fully farmed. The gear doesn't matter since well.. it won't change the fact he/she owned you or you owned him.
