Age affect level?

Alright I've been wondering for a bit if the age of a person affects their lvl.
I personally think that the age of someone does affect their ingame lvl. I have not met many lvl 80s that are between the ages of 12-15 (No offense to anyone that is between those ages). It seems to me that more of the higher lvl people are above the age of 16/17/18. For many I bet this is not true and that there are lvl 80s that are 14 etc..
I believe this is just because the game requires people to be a certain age to hit 80 because of the grinding required. That young kids aren't used to working that hard in game or in life as well. In some aspects this game does require working to achieve fun.

Anyone agree? Disagree?

Your probably right....also it makes it a heck of a lot easier if you have premium which older players can get easier then younger players

I Agree with you there. I myself am only 15. And since i have to live under the reign of my parents, grinding times are very low :( and as a result im only 55. But now im slowly grinding more and more aswell :)

Your right, took ages before i ever got my first 500 silk.

If you remove the ability to cheat you will notice the people who can control themselves and have money to spend hit caps earlier, these people tend to be young adults. (16/17 - mid 20s)Older people don't have enough time and younger people on average don't have the patience to stick grinding out to the end. These people will stay around low 60s and high 40s, they'll job around these levels and go at a slow pace to XXX cap, while the very small few that had the time and money to reach XXX cap look at an endless sea of loot/caravans to defend.

:!: OFF TOPIC WARNING! :!: I also wonder why people feel that they HAVE to use ALL their ticket time, hell if you miss some ~ no biggie, there is more to the game than grinding. I start jobbing at 24 when I'm Chinese and 30 when I'm European. Who said the game needed to start at XXX cap? That probably the reason why I'm almost always a thief, all I need are some scrolls, pots, a suit, and a transport. If I get bored while grinding as a Chinese I simply go "fck it" and return scroll to town then start stealing while chatting to people and shit. Hell, when you think about it if I didn't spend so much time looking for loot or running from hunters I should have a level 80 under-farmed fire glaive by now. I never really worried about leveling, When ever I logged into SRO I usually told myself today I'm gonna grow a level or gain 50% then within an hour I would be in my thief suit running from hunters or stalking some poor trader. Lawl, story of my sro life: 1]Log in, 2]Say you're gonna gain XX precent 3]gain less than 10% of your goal and go looking for caravans/running from hunters/fighting hunters then making a nice profit or getting pwned hard. When I got pwned I never made a big deal by mocking the hunter/trader, I usually said something like: "damn dude you pwned me hard, better luck next time." I made a lot of hunter friends that way, then again this was pre-euro and they could easily join me on my stealing routes. Then europe came and made stealing harder/more fun because this time there were more risk and therefore more gains to be made. Yep, SRO all about jobbing or so I thought then I met some interesting people. I call them ticket humpers, these guys were obsessed with their ticket and rarely if ever jobbed until the hit 80. If everyone just unraveled their panties for a second and throw on a suit even while on ticket time instead of turning the game into something it isn't then this shaza would be a whole lot better, but eh ~ what can you do. Some people like turning hobbies into chores, but I ain't some people. Oh fck, there I go making another big post. sry about that  :!: /OFF TOPIC WARNING :!:

To feel the satisfaction of getting the most of what they paid for. If they don't grind all of it then they feel Joymax is just riping them off in another manor.

Except for when friends invite you to PvP, or help a noob, or go join them in a trade run..you say "I'm on ticket time"...it's like a requirement to grind for 3 hours before you can have fun....it's becoming more a burden, for you and others than it is a blessing :/

SILK FREE SINCE THE DAY I WAS BORN :D

yea age does. minus the silk factor there is the time factor. Kids should be in school, the one's who usually have the time to cap legitly are 17~21 and then 30+, for whatever reason.

Of course, depending on where you live the years when you have enough time to play this game will differ.

There's also the maturity factor (for botted cappers).
The botters who cap are mostly highschool students from what I've seen and the younger working class. I'm also basing this on the hope that adults are mature enough to realize silkroad is a game and supporting items such as bots and gold companies are only degrading the community as a whole which creates conflict and stress and games aren't supposed to be about stressing ourselves even more I think.

now that I've typed this, I suppose the only age group without the potential to cap are toddlers, although in my opinion kids(underage) shouldn't be allowed to play a game long enough that they ever reach cap, education is important.

To answer the question of thread, yes it does, but it doesnt mean ppl between 12-15 cant be capped... since I know two within my union who are within that age and capped.

yea, i found that ppl who are higher up 7x-capped are generally 18+, if you get rid of the botters and the outliers. there's always the high schooler that's just pro-gamer.

But if you think about it, 30 bucks a month isn't really much for an adult(18+) that has a job. Age does infact affect lvl IMO, cause 18+ can get silk a lot easier than kids and get all the good sh1t.

And 18+ tend to have more time on their hands, and no curfew.

Yeah but that makes the game boring because you're no longer looking forward to a relaxing grind with some music or a nice 2 hour hunt for caravans but instead you're dreading what you have turned into a chore.

They should get a job if they have enough free time to grind 8hours a day lol....... -.-

trying to make a connection between age an level is completly absurd. its just as easy for a kid to get thier mom to pay for silk and whatever as it is for a working adult to buy silk themselves, or a teenager with a job to pay it themelves. Also in comparison with age, levels change much more quickly. for these reasons and many others im concluding that to assume that there is any corellation between age and level is rediculous

Not really accurate at all.. People get a sense of independability when they turn 18 and they have more options to pay for silk open to them. Kids also Smoke more weed than adults nowadays and get bored easier :) "A-D-D my A-S-S" -Carlos Mencia. Only some parents buy stuff for their kids with their credits cards and such. The younger parents most likely, cause my parent have to call on me when they need to use the computer-.-{they are like almost 50}

So yeah, Age matters no matter which way you look at it. How many save the internet pics do you see with kids BTW? None lol.

lol! i'm one of them i reckon? ^^ i don't think it matters. Anyone who can buy silk can hit 80. I will not give out my age, but i'll admit i'm pretty young. Only about 6 of my in game friends know my real age and i have a lvl 80 char.

from my personal experience knowing about 400 people in this game....

the young people tend to be legit (handgrind) since their mommy and daddy take care of them, so they have ample time to invest into this game grinding at home while all the pays are paid for. even if they are fed up with the game and want to bot, isrobot and softmod isnt free so they either steal their parents credit card or quit the game or continue handgrinding since they have lots of time to spare and as a result their schoolwork suffers.

the older people (17-28) tend to be people who bots since they have school, jobs, family, business, errands, kids to take care of.

that's just from what i know from people i know.

Yes, The ones that have "Lives". They pay for a game they can never play because of it. Perty stupid reason to bot. But back to topic: Credit card fraud is a felony  And those are usually accounts that get banned lol. :D <<--Me ----- Them-->> :banghead:

wow all of you have terrible arguments for a corrolation because each and every one of them relies on sweaping generalizations. If your going to argue a stupid positon, at least attempt to do so intelligently.

its really all about time management

but i guess since older players would be better at time management then they have a better chance at hitting cap.

just turned 18 recently and i have bought premium 3 times over the course of playing for 1.5+ years(wow thats long)

got to 60 w/o buying silk.

60 +became really slow so i bought a premium(currently 73 with premium)

i payed my parents with my own money for the premium.

in some ways younger age kids have more freedom than older kids because they aren't as stressed and usually have more free time.

in the end its who enjoys grinding the most :)

actually i know a bunch of people that are over 30 years old, and they seem to have about 15+ capped players.

all they do is bot on like the 2-5 computers they have at home, multiclient the whole day.
=/

so while 18-20 yr old people may have the most time to play, there are some people over 25 that are the most incessant botters that never stop lol.

I find that the 30-50 year old crowd are the ones that slave away in this game.
