Being proud because you cheat is being a dick.
Being proud because you play fair is being self absorbed and a sore winner.

But being a sore winner is worse than being a sore loser, because at least the loser has something to be sore about, but the winner can just take it all in stride, but instead is parading himself around.

Please stop talking about botting and all this stuff please, this should be the last topic mentioning them.

Nope. Being proud because you play fair is not arrogant. You don't have to be arrogant to be proud, but I am. I'm honest AND arrogant, which makes better than all the other arrogant people.

You know the community is terrible when being proud for doing the lawful thing is being looked down upon. Shame on you. Frankly if your legit i dont care how up yourself you are. Your legit, your playing the game how its meant to be played. Considering the amount of non legit people that exists this is a rarity. Dam for all i care you can do sh1t bricks on non legits, they deserve it. Have a head full of self satisfaction, you have the right to be. You are doing the right thing for the game, my hearts are with you.

I have a sneaking suspicion about Raingul. Keep and eye on EB.

You can define proud in many ways. I wouldn't really use self absorbed on someone who encourage fair play.

A big percentage of the user base in iSRO can't and don't play by the rules.

I enjoy of the fact I don't cheat = bot, buy gold, scam, hack etc. I enjoy the rewards of my effort know that I've really played the game, not violating the rules when doing so, playing fair. If this means I'm proud to be a legit so be it. I play the game for my enjoyment. But some define their enjoyment by abusing the rules and taking part in non-legit activities, they may or may not be proud of that. At the end of the day its down to choice.

This is just the outcome of cheating becoming more majority accepted. People trying to justify botting in any way - trying to neutralize the very existence of the social pressure against the cheating.

You cannot no more longer blame Joymax alone. You now have yourselves (too) to look upon why these bad things happen to an once awesome game.

If everyone, in an instant, completely stops botting, stop buying gold, and shun the cheating. What exactly would be the results? Wishful thinking, but wouldn't it be wonderful? I would be awed at the power which people can do to change for the better, all it needs is that little dedication to say no to such desires, such as gold or botting.

You know, Silk Road Online is the only game in which you can proudly declare you are Legit and won't stand for what cheaters have turned the game into. In Silk Road Online resisting stupidity is a great thing to be proud of. In other MMOs you don't have this problem, you can't put the entire blame on Joymax for the problems. At the same time you can't blame Legits for being proud, it has a certain air of arrogance to it that is just so appealing; fighting for what you believe, no... fighting for what you know is right, whether it be virtual reality or tangible reality, is a cause to be proud of. Indeed I am a proud Legit but the case of bad sportsmanship falls on the shoulders of botters, you see; if you have to cheat to win an illusion of victory then not only have you lost sight of the true point of it all, you have rejected all it means to have good sportsmanship. So I say nay, good sir, nay. Cheating and worst of all having pride in the fact you have to cheat to even compete is "fail". Once again, dearest Rainigul, Nay sir, I say Nay.

I put greater influence on multiplayer because when MMOs, in their various forms, were first created the goal was to bring together people through simulated social interactions. lol, being proud for climbing a mountain = being proud for reaching 80 legit. that is something you can be proud about. but being proud about just being legit is like being proud about doing what you should be doing anyways.

Shinichitai, you're just belittling the idea of being legitimate in the sort of environment Silkroad Online is in. To stray away from the strong influence of botting and greed for gold is very considerable in comparison with the pride in climbing a mountain.

Getting to level 80 isn't something to be compared in climbing a mountain when you're talking about the current condition we're in: taking a helicopter to the top - in botting terms. Though! With the combination of legitimacy and getting to level 80, is exactly like climbing and reaching to the top of a mountain. Metaphorically speaking.

If we were to take it all in, the whole picture, got rid of botting or cheating in general. Being legitimate isn't exactly the: "let's parade around," since it is a general thing to do. But, as you can see, many people go to the dark side and join botting in Silkroad Online. While leaving the few (in size comparison with bots) who stay and shield themselves against the strong temptation.
