Well silkroad is very corrupted right now. Would banning player bots and gold bots make silkroad playable again? Why wont they take action?

Pretty much the only reason.
I have to give it to them though.
If it isn't broken, why fix it?
They're still making ridiculous amounts of money off Item Mall, so why change a thing?

Its been brought up before but they need to get rid of gold companies. I believe someone mentioned that joymax needs a way of payment separate from paypal. Daily gold bot blocks may help also. Some type of anti-bot software would help. Getting rid of server traffic would definitely be the first step.

Why do you people assume joymax is this ignorant company full of idiots who nothing about business structure? Do you really believe that?
Joymax doesnt stop it because their players created it. The players buy gold, thus the need for gold bots. The players of sro made it, their customers, so as a business they wont get rid of something that the customers created.
Same applies to player bots.

This may or may not answer some questions

Though being a lil young and still fresh in college at the time when I first started a year ago I was naive and some of my posts on the official forum reflected that such as the crowded servers is a good thing post. I was so let down when my company told me it was better to have Prem tickets and new servers (Shards) then to ban bots and I tried my best to be honest in a positive way, I failed.
The truth killed my world of SRO and hurt you guys more. Sorry if I hurt anyone’s feelings and for the people I couldn’t help which was most, I had no power no matter how hard I tried.
I represented Joymax as one of the morningdew's/ladyasiana but the name and the original GM for iSRO office was Mary which is why morningdew gets the confused female persona all the time. I am leaving because I can’t do my job, and are things getting better? Do ppl from Joymax still care and want to make SRO a better game? Yes they do. Will they or can they? I honestly don’t know.

They need to ban bots.
The argument that it's a sound fiscal policy to not ban bots is misguided. I believe that if SRO was an actually enjoyable game, without bots, with having to wait 20+ minutes to join a server, without people who cheat, etc., the game would be much more profitable from people actually interested in playing the game. I should would pay if Joymax fixed their problems. Am I going to pay when everyone bots to level 80 and there are just gold bots playing with me? No!
The other argument that the customer want bots is ludicrous. The few people who would prefer bots over no bots are few and far between. The game has been hijacked by a few individuals and now many exploit that. There was no consensus or vote to have bots. Overwhelmingly, people would like to play an enjoyable game. There are not many who don't, yet they've been overrepresented.
I'm sure Joymax may subscribe to either these two failed philosophies, or both. Conversely, Joymax may be so incompetent as to not even have the ability handle the bot situation if it wanted to! Either of these scenarios are not good.

Many silkroad problems can be fixed easily by joymax but they still take no action

Many silkraod problems wouldn't exist if players never caused them either. We have thousands of bots and gold buyers complain about the bot situationb but yet we still see them take no action via not buying gold and not botting anymore.

I agree. The servers are only crowded now because some people do buy gold on a regular basis. If everyone all of a sudden lost interest...There would be diminished gold-botting on all servers. As far as playerbots...they just need to figure out how this game will be a lot better if everyone follows the rules.
However I'd like to bring up an analogy here.
Driving...
Would be almost "perfectly" safe if everyone followed the rules as well.
But instead we have looky-loos that slow down traffic, speeders, drunk drivers, slow pokes..etc
In any case it's the people that utilize the system that are the cause of the problems.
Too bad everyone can't be made to agree

on the streets there are police to keep the traffic less harmful by surveillaince, that'd be joynax, but the police in SRO are having their doghnuts most of the time so there are more ghost drivers than regular drivers.

What's there to fix? The majority of JM's clients (paying clients!) are botters, gold buyers and the like. Any company that looks to make money follows the will of the larger cut of their customers. So far, JM been doing an outstanding job in satisfying the large portion of the community. It's our problem that we're the minority.

@ted It is a shrewd argument you make. No one here is going to argue against personal responsibility. That does not however make your arguement valid. It is at best a straw man and at worst total bs. This was never about personal responsibility for the players. It was about joymax's responsibilities and how they ignored them. In the beginning there were few botters and they were shunned. At that time tiny regular bans would have been enough. But every day that passed with little better than the pointless jokes they labeled as bans as testament to the fact joymax took no responsibility. Why should joe player behave differently? Eventually the cancer that is botting consumed the whole. Now it is lop off the head to spite the body. And we even have apologists now who blame the victims for the outcome. Joymax failed end of story. It never was and never will be the players responsibility to stop botting and any who try are doomed from the start. Without action from the top we are all farked. And if anyone was confused. There will be on action from the top.

This is article taken from
http://www.wikipedia.org <--- I believe they tell the truth
'Its the most annoying thing about the game....Joymax also ignores the users and doesn't ban the botters anymore OR clear servers of the problems. They discard all the user information on fixing these problems and is a money tyrant( by closing servers so you have to pay money- too get silk- to get premium tickets- to get into the server... In my opinion Silkroad is one of the best games...if the GM's were present at times and listened to there Revenue Payers. (PLAYERS) So sad that they ignore us.'
Don't believe this is actually written on Wikipedia?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_PageSearch for 'Silkroad Online'
All the way down to Spammers
At the bottom it says it

We're not going to have any help from JM. Even if we do, the help they'd give would hardly help. JM allowed these shit to happen. It's up to us to do something about it.

There are barely any korean mmorpg's without bots/Gold-sellers.
Some of them tried to take action, but failed, Joymax doesnt even want to try..
So..
If joymax tried, they'd fail.
Korean Mmo's are like this

Live with it, or quit.
I'd quit ^^

unfortunately theres nothing u can do. u cant make yourself a gm and ban bots, and you cant keep people from botting or buying gold. either stick with the game and its problems, or leave.

I understand where your post is coming from, i understand what you are saying. With that said i can't agree with the statement you just posted. Maybe im too idealistic about my views on human nature but i believe people should be responsible for their own actions and not result to breaking the law just because everyone else is and getting away with it.
But i guess thats why they call this a forum, isn't it?

Joymax wants money is short time.
