is silkroad dying?

I was looking a chart a while back that shows how the number of players spikes when a new legend comes out, do you think SRO will continue to stay active and spike or is it dying? Seems like lately no matter what server I go on there are less and less people pvping and jobbing and am just wondering if its going to come back or if it's time to find a new game.

The game itself didn't die. However, legits died, respect, and so on did.

There have been too many topics which are exactly like this.

It wasn't dying last year, it wasn't dying 3 months ago, it's not dying now.

this game is dieing and according to unnamed sources started to decline after the viet IP ban. Dieing is defined as a steady decline in number of players and a decline in the number of internet searches for the game. Also the number of people visiting the official site shows a drop in the number of new players, its a steady line going straight down. As more golds bots and players bots appear the popularity of the game goes down. A near perfect negative correlation, I'm still attempting to determine the cause.

Basically:
Isro popularity is going down
Isro population is going down
Isro community is divided
Isro company is not doing well (support wise)
Isro community is degrading
Isro Players are leaving (Legits and Botters)
Isro is not gaining any new players
Isro internet searches are going down
Traffic for Isro official site is going down
Number of Gold bots is on the rise as Isro rest on its last legs
Player bots have become deluded as they try to understand what is going on while they claim to be Legit.
The real Legits are on the fringe trying to salvage what is left.

Yes Isro is dieing, its a slow painful death, but still ~ a death.

Its not dead ~ dead would mean an extremely small community with no new people coming in and near empty servers. The cycle of corrupt games is simple:

Golden Age(alpha/beta) ~> Golden Age(OB) ~> Popularity ~> (now here is the pivotal point) ~> A]Rampant Cheating and no Company support, B]Success and Company support.

From there two roads appear.
A]~> Steady Decline ~> Spikes ~> Greater Decline ~> Spikes ~> Greater Decline ~> Drop ~> Death
B]~> Continual rise until A takes place.

Been dieing for a while.
The only people that are dieing out are legits.
Eventually its just going to be botters. Its almost like that already.

EDIT: Yes.
Look at Aege, One of the top guilds is a gold bot guild/union.
6th best guild
http://www.rev6.com/guild.asp?guild=Ham ... &server=74
Then guilds like these that people have their own personal gold botters.

there is an option in there for "it has more active players then ever before" or "same as it has always been"

Barotix is right Isro is dying slowly. I now play in Vsro from time to time, though no GT coz you cant buy it online. But it actually has active GM and all. No bot hmm not so sure but i havent seen one yet. Swearring = auto ban for a week or 20 days. scam = ban if you have roof.

I agree with the fact the game didn't die. However, the glorious days of SRO have ended ages ago.

The second part, I disagree with. There are still legits out there, who will keep fighting for their ideal, and will rather quit than join the majority of botters.
When the game contains of only bots and nothing more, then legits died, along with respect.

Then it went below its original levels. :(

As 90 cap nears the number of players will rise, but it will not get above Legend 2 Levels. It was a high spike for legend one and then a decline followed by a smaller spike followed by a greater decline hear comes the next spike and with it another decline.

so:
Steady Rise ~> Spike ~> Steady Drop ~> Spike (lower than first) ~> Steady Drop (greater than first) ~> Spike (lower than second)~> Steady Drop (Greater than second) ~> Repeat until the game flat lines.
