How does joymax ban botters, GM's in game?

I was reading other topic asking this question, but it was more what bots get banned, but for JM to invitsigate, do you think the GM's log on and check out the characters? surely they dont just take bug reports about the bots and ban whatever name is there, unless they have a count, like this name comes up x amount of time in a bug report for botting and there banned....anyone know?

well id guess they could find out who actually uses which bots, like jm only seem to ban goldbots(which runs on clientless bots) but i guess noone knows for sure

Finding the names of bots wouldn't be hard. Stand in dw for 5 minutes, record the names of the 1st 100 goldbots they see and hey presto, theres a bot list.

pretty sure the open up the game cuz my friend showed me a screenshot of a gm saying hello to a gold farmer and that goldfarmer being on the banlist latter, ill see if I can find it.

joymax is to stupid to ban people any other way.

JM only bans gold bots, rarely player bots. cuz 80% of all players on all servers would quit, if JM starts to ban player bots severely. there would not be so many ppl buying silk items, which is the only income source for JM of real money.

JM's intention is not to please you ppl and make you happy. their very first intention is to make money. or what do you think do they use to pay their bills or their food? so thinking of severe banning acts is an illusion and becomes more and more unprobable with the increase of lvl cap.

if jm really wanted the goldbots gone then all they have 2 do is stand at each gate for 5mins a week and note down the names of the goldbots that pass and ban them.
if they kept this up every week then it wud b 2 much of a chore and loss for the gold companies 2 keep remaking chars and they wud eventually give up.

or an even easier option 4 them wud b if they sold gold in the item mall 4 a lower price than the gold companies. the economy in each server is already ruined cuz of goldsellers so jm cant harm it any more by doing this. and the goldsellers wud go out of business cuz they wudnt b able 2 afford 2 match the lowwer price that jm cud sell it 4.

Thats not a too clever idea. Imagine JM selling the gold for 5 bucks per 100 mil. I dont want to pay another penny to play SRO but the prices for gear would go up like a crazy....

Alright. Way back when, more than a year ago, I had a run-in with a GM trying to talk to a bot. The GM was sitting on a horse, and had some special kind of armor (and the noob, less than lvl 20 symbol .) Anyways... I tried to take a screenshot of him, and this is what I got. He wasnt on the screenshot. Ive always wondered why he didnt show up (He was sitting just about in between me and the bot in the top picture.) But his text is still in the chat box, and you can even see in the second screenshot that I PM'ed him (with no response).

I thought this was a promising thing, but I think this was pretty much a once in a lifetime occurrence.

remember a long time ago when joymax release a ban list in xian and a lot of playing bot got banned in the server? after that they just only ban non-silk buyer clientless gold farmer.

a friend of mine once saw a GM in jang, (after over 2 years of sro) he was asking a staller,with a goldselling site to close his stall, only dint ban him >.< kinda sad...

they just use a program that sniffs the packets they recieve and sadly player bots dont send thoes packets only gold bots do because there clientless

some mmorpg's have the bird eye perispective so you can observe many people at once.
There are many ways to ban:

The mountebanks standing motionless in town for days could be DC'ed and messages could be checked.

the bots use check points in town to buy stuff or check points outside to advance to their grinding destination.
If Joynax were to check all that out, they'd have ALL goldbots and it would only have 1 decision:

player-bots run gold bots and sell the gold cheap to gold selling companies who in turn sell it back. there is no difference they both suck and mess up the community, gold bots hit the server harder, player bots hit the community harder. They're not mutually exclusive and they're both noob. Hope that sums it up
