I made a small program which is able to drop gold. Use it when u are afk. It can stop the hunt activity of the gold bots (and some bots without pet) which are hungry of gold within a radius of 50-60. If u use it daily, u'll decrease greatly the income of the gold bot companies and keep a good place of training to others.

Fight fire with fire, falls in the same gray area as no-d/c . If it were a macro then it would be better off, but you would need to be a fort owner to pull something of this size off.

Can't See this being allowed, even if its for the greater good. If D/c clients help you login and are for the greater good, why do people get banned?

I like your logic. Same concept, if only it were a macro rather than third party. (Joymax allows macros).

What could possibly be the harm in using this? Sure it's a 3rd party program but it's not like you get an advantage over anyone unlike No-DC clients. In fact it would probably help distract the bots so it's better for 'everyone' and not just for yourself. And you actually LOSE money from this, albeit a small amount, and you spend precious grinding time... well, not grinding. So the user is sacrificing time and money to improve the gaming environment. In contrast, No-DC is only for 'your' own good.

But can't anyone do that? It's perfectly legal to sit around and loot money. In fact people used to do that at the bandit archers all the time and no one complained

Just to let u know: relying everything on JM wont resolve anything. U gave up too soon. This may not be the best tactic, but if u dont give it a try, nothing will happend. Sacrifying 3600 gold an hour, u'll save hundreds thousand of gold from bots.

no-DC gives you an advantage over others, technically this is making you lose gold, so it's a disadvantage?... i guess~ ^^;

whatever, i plan on trying it, group them all together and then lightning thief them so they get to town faster when we're doing bot traps.

BTW nice but i dont get what it does to the community. if u are dropping gold, then the giold bots will just pick it up more money for them .

no the point is, if you start dropping gold it attracts gold bots, pretty soon you have 80 golds bots standing around you trying to grab 1 piece of gold and not killing mobs and getting drops and 400 gold each kill.

Pretty good idea, haven't downloaded it yet though. I used to line up the little gold button with the OK button for dropping gold, and just spam it.

how u get autoit to work on sro?, last time I tried it wasnt working on the sro interface <_<

I am pretty sure that most of the bots are setted to pick their own stuff/old and not get attracked by other dropings.
those who were at lv60 cap probably remember that if you would drop a coin in hotan you would see aleast 50 chars running at you.
since that time bots programs became much better.

if this program does work, someone please film/frap it :]

it will work, 2 weeks ago we were standing outside west gate of hotan and dropping 1 gold in thief suits and poping them with lightning thiefs and I have 70-80 gold bots around me.

eh xfire can be considered a 3rd party program, not all 3rd party programs are evil or cheating

I kinda like this idea except it would require me to go out of my way to loose gold instead of grinding what little i get on any more

Well, I understand whoever said that the use of 3rd pt program is not allowed in SRF. But let me ask u some questions:
1. what's the exact definition of a "3rd pt program" (Source needed)? Im sure most ppl here doesnt really know what it is, most program nowadays are 1st and 3rd pt, there is no 2nd pt.
2. why is this program consider a 3rd pt, and why isnt Xfire a 3rd pt.

Following the rule, in case of violation, the mods could delete or edit this thread. So do it after answer these questions above.
