In keeping with our strong stance against cheating in Nevareth, Games-Masters.com would like to announce a stepping up in our war against rule breakers. From noon today a new script will be activated banning any user who uses automated or macro scripts and will run daily to ensure the servers are clean of any cheats.
Games-masters.com have always maintained an aggressive policy against those who cheat and with these new tools at our disposal we are ordering a major crackdown on all forms of rule breaking. This will include permanent bans for users who:
Use third party programs to automate actions
Use third party programs to change any aspect of the game i.e. reduce skill or cool down times.
Use any external software to gain an unfair advantage over other users
With this announcement we wish to send out a clear message to all users; "cheaters will never win". Whether it is a minor macro mouse, or a full automated botting program, these actions are against the CABAL Online terms of service and provide an unfair advantage against other fair playing users. We will under no circumstance tolerate such actions and we can assure all those who break the rules of the following; you will be caught!
If you are one of the users who receive a ban today, and believe it has been unfairly administered, please contact our support department immediately. While the developers have assured us the scripts are accurate, we will investigate all claims of wrongful action on our part.
This is from the European Cabal.
You might argue Joymax does the same. Thing is, when G-M.com says bots are gone THEY ARE GONE. In April they will destroy the Alz sellers ... and well that will end anything that spoils cabal.
So my point is, what's stopping JoyMax from doing this? I mean .. it IS really that simple.

yep.. i play cabal too atm, but cabal is just a nothing compared to silkroad..and JM is just interested in money so they don't care about their own costumers <.< JM is also interested in bot users cuz they are the majority who buy silks -> profits for JM
maybe they should ban ALL and i say ALL the Goldfarmers cuz they only make servers crowded and they are pretty noob
P.S.: if GM is a unique thing in Silkroad, just check Cabal.. u can pvp 'em too
and they spam ur mailbox <.<''

Anyone else notice that a couple other popular mmo's are taking care of their ingame issues except joymax. How can so many ppl still play silkroad when it has the crappiest service lol?

People dont like to start over. In sro they have lvl 80 full farmed char with +5 100% blue gear, they download, lets say cabal, start the game and look at thier lvl 1 char with no skills npc gear and they go back to sro. Not always the case but I am sure that is why alot of the 80's stay in sro.

They just don't want. Bots = full servers = more premiums sold. Who would buy a premium ticket if there was instant login anyway?

I think I'd still buy one for the alchemy and other bonuses. I buy silver now and would keep doing it.
Here's the thing though: how many silk buyers have quit this game because of the bot problem? I spent plenty on silk and quit for several months before I found a home in Venus. I had a premium and still couldn't login (wouldn't get the start button) and when I did, I couldn't find anyplace to grind in peace. If JoyMax gave it some thought, they'd realize:
100 people buying 100 silk per month (for pets, etc.) = 10,000 silk
20 people buying 250 silk per month (PT and pet) = 5,000 silk
Of course, I don't know what the exact numbers are and maybe JoyMax is actually tracking it carefully (although I suspect they're not). What % of their silk-buying population have they lost? What proportion of gamers bought silk when there was no bot problem? Silk costs nothing to manufacture so it's strictly client satisfaction that drives demand. So many dissatisfied customers and their income goes down.

Joymax can get rid of bots and server traffic and come up with other bonuses for the premium ticket, like bigger alchemy success rate, speed increase, 120% exp/sp increase, maybe a double drop rate too?
That would be a pretty helpful ticket imo.

As far as I can tell yes. Most channels are not as full anymore. The nub monsters .. aka mangyangs in sro are empty. [ Unlike sro the cabal bots stay low lvl ].
And soon in April the AlZ spammers will be farked with too. All tho I play on the premium channels so they don't annoy, a lot of people will be thankful.

We are such noobs. The GM are on this game daily banning. But when my guild found out where we all ran there like the SRO nubs we were going ooooooooooooooh aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah GM.
SRO is about the only game that has no GM presence.

Thats we us players have to do something about it. We need to usher in a new reign of sro. Slowly we will win this game back.
