How about a premium server?

Well, would you pay? As many monkeys as I've seen around, as well as talk to people that have bought stuff off he item mart, it only seems like adding a premium server seems like the next logical thing to do. Not that it's going to happen, but hypothetically. Think of it like those main download places that have the public/private servers. Any comments? We can assume a standard MMORPG monthly fee (since I don't play pay mmorpgs, that's why there is no estimated price)

What would be the incentive to choose a premium server over a free one?

exactly what i was thinking. i mean the only thing i might see is less people. but IMHO thats a turn off

I survived so far on a free server, why would I change?

haha deff an incentive, but then the server would fill up. But if it was a premium server just think, gms would watch out for this server more than the free ones, so less botters would around eh?

maybe a free monkey+free double exp scroll kinda like on Ksro, they give you 4 exp tickets free when you start.

I suspect the idea is that a premium server would magically never lag, never disconnect you, never give a question mark error, have no bots, and maybe some other fantasies.

More people means more lag. You can't just say "get a better server" because they may not exist, and if they do they are probably not within Joymax's budget.

Eh, this is a good idea on paper but to put it into action with all these special abilities just wont happen. I probably would pay because if these benefits were true it would be worth it. What would be cool is if you could transfer your characters and items from the free server to the private server that way there wont really be a rush of botters and people trying to inflate the system.

well i think if everyone gets double exp and monkeys, i bet it's gonna feel like it's just like iSRO again, where all are playing at equal terms. so it's just gonna end up with people asking for more. i think it's better this way, some people have advantages, some have not (like me). it's all for variety.

This happened to mu online... it still have lagg, people
that botted/hacked till high lelvel didnt got banned (and
some that were banned got unblocked lol), it still have bugs...

What changed: 60-80% quited. Some cauz couldnt
afford, others like me cauz 99% of my friends couldnt
afford and others becauz less people = less PvP,
less fun.

And in the premium server the guys that botted/hacked
and have duped/hacked items are now in the same guild/union.
This guilds basically rule the premium server now.

Im fine with the current servers , aside from adding new servers all that i think should be done is introducing a server cap for the people on aege.

Why do people always bitch about the game. If it's so bad, you should quit.

??? People here are bitching? I thought we were discussing the possible perks of a premium server. Lag and space issues are bound to pop up in conversation, but I don't see anyone bitching; just suggesting ideas.

its about 20/30 euro's for 60 days to play world of warcraft, not sure wether or not there's some sort of "item mall" where you can buy premium/advanced stuff ...

but i'd rather see sro become pay to play, just to get rid of all those newbies and reduce server stress (which results in almost NO lag).

the free to play policy of joymax is basicly destroying the game, the servers are all overcapicitated and with AEGE having no servercap its lagging 24/7 there with 5 seconds delay.

premium server is plain bs if you ask me, make the game pay to play and let item mall also stay a buying place. i just want to play lagfree without all the newbies ruing my fun

imo sro is not enougth for me to pay for it, its a nice and cool game, but many things need to be added and changed!

peace \o/
