do you still have faith in Joymax to fix iSRO?

I for one used to have high faith that Joymax step up and fix the bot problem, but as time goes on, it's getting lower and lower, it's to the point that I've simply accepted that the bots are here to stay

iSRO will always be the laughing stock of the entire Silkroad gaming community. It will always be the last to receive updates, and the last one to receive any support/GM help. The only way iSRO will ever have a chance is if someone (like Blizzard) is able to step up and make a convincing offer to Joymax for the US/Canada license (ASRO? Lol)

I don't have hope per se, but I know they'll do something, probably not the thing they promised. But see the thing is, I'm not an addict to this game, I have a very good social life and silkroad is just one of those games I play to pass an hour or so during the couple of days I have off of work before I head out for the night with some friends. The people that constantly complain are the ones that are stuck at home and really have nothing better to do BUT play silkroad. I'm not saying it isn't a good game, in fact I think it's better than WoW as far as gameplay goes (that's my opinion, if you hate it, tough), but I'm not going to spend several hours trying to log into the game, only to connect and probably get disconnected a couple of minutes later, or better yet have the game crash on me, and then still go to one of several silkroad forums and bitch up a storm that I can't connect. I refuse to buy a premium ticket because face it, although I make plenty of money, I wouldn't waste any of it on some petty company like joymax who's only claim to fame is being able to dangle some premium tickets (for a cash price) over hunger players' heads, if it wasn't for that they'd be washed up even more. Rule of thumb, if you can't connect within 3 - 5 tries without having to buy a premium ticket, then it's not worth it, because you'll just be wasting both your time and money on them.

Gold bots are here because users buy gold
Player bots are here because players like to use them
Joymax as a company wants to satisfy what its consumers want.
People want to bot, people want to buy gold. Joymax as a result will let them. Simple as that.

If thats how Joymax was they would sell gold for silk, as well as thier own bot, making even more money themselves.

It is much more insidious than you think. It is all about plausible deniability. They don't run the bots or sell the gold. They are innocent and honestly doing their best to address the issues. And another sap buys silk instead of quitting as he had planned to support joymax's "war on bots". If joymax ran the bots or sold the gold that sap would have quit and joymax would have been out the silk.

Waiting what JM would do in the next few months or whenever the next big update is (whichever comes first). If nothings changed then I'll quit playing. Already scouting for other alternatives :/.

To be honest: No, I don't have faith in Joymax anymore.
The problems didn't start out as big as they are now. If Joymax would have taken action and fixed the problems when they started appearing (And thus were easier to solve than now), the problems today wouldn't be as big. But they didn't do shit then, so I doubt they'll take action now that the game is deep in the shit.
Though there's a chance they might do something serious if the stream of money is drying up.
Time will tell. I don't care about this game anymore.

Dividing sro time with casually playing Rappelz with Ame, and right now thinking of cabal cause a friend bribed me with cookies. I might as well try out Rohan too I guess, I havent decided yet. If I do I'll let you know

+1, it saddens me to think what might have been. Looking at it now, its so far off the mark. So far off.

For no notable reason, 2moons sucked, anyone who got informed about the game before it came out would have realized it sucked. Rohan doesn't look so special to me either, and its Korean like SRO, it will be a grindfest

I hope they will, but they won't, they are making way too much money from people buying prems because of goldbots

I tried Rappelz once and never again, took too much time to download and install, got a bad graphic and skills are terrible >_>

It's amazing people even still play this bot-infested game...
Too bad a better company doesn't own SRO.

Fix what? You can buy ingame currency for every mmorpg..why? because all mmorpg have bots/farmers...why? because theres nothing they can do to stop them coming back again and again. Your all living in a dream world if you think one day you will log in the game and there will be no bots/gold farmers.
My advice is to play the game and have fun, and if you cant log in then buy a premium. My gameplay has never been affected by a gold bot.
And to be quite frank I hate freeloaders more than bots, buy a friggin premium ticket and quit your whining. Because at the end of the day thats what this is all about isnt it?......
...Its the freeloaders who cant log on because of the gold bots and then whine about it on the forums...you have absolutly NO RIGHT to whine about bots and not being able to log in your playing a free game remeber that. If you pay for the game and then cant log on because of bots then whine away thats fine (thats not gonna happen, ive always been able to log on with premium).
As for not being able to grind because of bots...cmon thats bullshit, theres plenty of alternate places to grind if you look.
Didnt vote, dont agree with any of those poll answers.

Actually Perfect World has it about right. You can buy item mall gold and sell it off for in game gold in the auction house. You can also sell item mall stuff in the auction house or stalls. As a result there are very few farm bots. And they rarely make it to lvl 30. I dunno what to tell you all. But SRO had me jaded against all F2P MMO till I played perfect world. It is still early on and it will not satisfy everyone who has played SRO. But there is a massive SRO reffuge population here. I am not gonna do like some are and try to entice you to come here like they try with the new SRO servers. Come or not it is your decision. Go to what ever server you like join the guild you want. But it is definatly a game to look at. The graphics are superb. The customization is awesome. The game play is well balanced and polished. And the customer service is actually impressive.
