Quitting

It's been two years since I've started playing this great game. I still remember the amount of times I had to restart a new character because I just randomly placed stats to Int or Str. I still remember the first guild I joined in Oasis - Insanity - and the schism that followed. I still remember shouting "RUUUUUUNNNNN!!!" everytime an NPC thief spawns nearby my grinding spot. I still remember the times I tried to balance out my Thief, Hunter, and Trader levels. I still remember the massive trade runs we've done with Defiance union. I still remember the lonely nights of farming at Tarim Basin. I still remember the first batch of the detested goldbots. I still remember the hype in visiting Taklamakan when it opened. I still remember the surge of international players in cSRO just to try out the gameplay of the new "race". I still remember...

I've wanted to quit this game after my character from Oasis. However, the ideas of starting anew, holding the fortress, and conquering the botters were very tempting. I gave in and had a great time for two weeks. Hera, like the successes of Odin and Venus, seems to be promising.

Alas, outside the virtual world, a soft voice has been crying for my return. I've ignored a few responsibilities, suffered the consequences, and learned the hard way. Undoubtedly, my addiction to SRO caused me to almost fail some of my classes from, yes, Economics, to, understandably, OChem. I'm taking back what I've missed. My computer is now free from this game, and I don't think it'll ever have it again anytime soon.

It's time to dust out my old friends, for a renaissance awaits. To Art, Science, and Philosophy!

SRO is Awesome. SRF is awesome. Joymax is Negligent. The community has mostly arseholes. The community has some good people. The community has some good, but corrupt people. The community has just lost a good person, I bid you adieu. :banghead:

Well if you still wanna give a try on Hera, no guild is leading so far :/

But I understand what you mean, I already quit the game like that before, only I came back one week later.

I totally understand what you feel mate. I dropped all my subjects before then stopped studying for 7 months just to play sro. And then I realized there's more to life than this game. I haven't played sro since oct last year. If I can do it then you can. I just finished the school year last friday. If ever you really wanted to play the game try playing it during sem breaks or summer, just like what I'm doing now.

Quit the game but don't quit srf. Honestly it helps. Goodluck mate. Have fun..
