Simple question:
How do you think SRO will look like after the bot ban thing?
Will the bot ban be permanently? or temporarily?

They will ban them(goldbots) and 1day to 1 week later it will be same as now.

If the banning is going to look like anything like the one almost two years ago:

1. Hell of alot of big name botters will be banned, and big name botting guilds will be taken down (I.e. Bear_Club would be an example)

2. Lots of Goldbots will get banned, and Jangan will be riddled with garment wearing bow KSing Lv. 1 Goldbots.

3. It'll be 2 months and the botters will come back...

Sadness...

The ban list of 2 years only banned 1 or 2 REAL bots on Oasis; So i'm not looking forward at all =]

Yup... and JM needs to shut the server down abruptly! If that happens, then the botters won't have time to put there things in storage... suns gone, bot money gone... I think Xian's economy would balance out completely.

Exactly..That's why I am buying a premium when they do it but after that one runs out I'll be screwed >:/

npc pays 20k, the other night he bought 18 m worth of elixirs from me, i was actually kinda suprised i kept re opening stall and before i could get very far, the stall would sell out

though i'd still rather they ban all bots

depends on what joymax will do:
if they ban any bot then it will be chaos.
if its the usual goldbot ban nothing will change just some great income for any fortress owner.

time to start stacking up earth 6/8,water 6/8 and wind 2/4

Merely speculation. If they ban all bots the game will be like the "old school" times that i never experienced (in Isro). I have played botless games and their economy isn't failing nor is their game decaying. (i was about 1~2 months to late to join in on the 70 cap fun)

60 cap > 70 cap > 80 cap

should of seen 60 cap. put a suit on, and u got endless trades to rob/defend from jang -> don. prolly anywhere from 15 to 30 trades on at a time depending on the time of day. me and night would spend 3 hours a day before i had to go sleep (9pm-12pm) running back and forth from jang to don killing thiefs. so meny of them that it was non stop slaughter for 3 hours.

ps: the only bad thing about 60 cap was everyone called INT mental and STR physical... zomfg your a mental spear lightning!!!

lol oh yeah and Glavie was called big sword

but anyways, bots will always be here because There is always a way to make a hack/script/trainer for any game. Traffic will probably be low for a bit, but it will surley rise again, unless they do bans every wekk or month.

I hope the high level gold bots get banned... It'll take them a while to get back to our grind spots at least.

yes well, solider front managed to protect itself from the wallhack which allowed players to see siloutes (pardon my spelling) thru the walls, giving them an extreme advantage it seams that there is a new but far less wide spread cheat now but how ever no where near the numbers of people that had it before the update

edit i think qouted the wrong person but what ever, something about the bots will be back soon

If it's just a gold bot ban then things wont change at all. Things will be different for a week or two then all back to normal. If it's a player bot ban then expect a lot to change, from your server economy to strongest players and guilds.

@Fly - haha mannnn just looking at that pic brought back memories of the poor job in translation. LoL all the swearing that NPC's did what a laugh.

first experience in a game are usual the best ones, basically anyone who just started the game will find it as awesome as the people did at cap 60 and the oldschool people will say the old caps where better.

if they ban all bots it will be simply a shock something no one will expect and probably never will happen

Hence why silk items are cheaper
Joymax still Develop the Game for them
yahoo just buy the updates

If they ban all the bots, player bots, gold bots, they will probably shut down, lose most of their money because of the massive chargebacks etc.
