Buying silk for gold - allowed?

I just wish to know SRF's opinion on that matter. I buy silk very often and enjoy it a lot, but there are some people (either -18 or college students without a job) that cant buy any silk at all, even if they want to.
One example is my guildie, who really loved the Devil Wings dress and was searching desperately for someone who'd buy silk for her before the pirate suits came. I offered to help her, and I asked around 1M = 10silk, what I thought was reasonable. She was very rich and could afford 150 silk for the dress. I might still help her buy more silk later for things such as pets and maybe a premium. By the way, she's legit, and her money is as well. She's pretty active stalling (yes, there are people who are awesome at that, Im terrible xD).
Also there might be another friend who really needs a bit of silk for premium, so in the end I might help him as well. I really feel bad for people who cant get in the servers or dont have monkeys picking their things. I just cant live without them anymore =\
Sure she had to give me her ID and pass, but she probably changed it just after I bought the silk (obviously didnt checked lolz).
p.s: omg, I hope Im not banned for 7 days. After all, the game isnt that affected, SRO still get their silk, and the gold is legit. o_o"

Well,
It's never been alowed in game, but im sure there are people who do it, no doubt.
IF you want to trust your friend, with your ID and pass, pretty much giving him full availability and opportunity to rip you off, then so be it. However, do know that it is not allowed by JM, and since it has something to do with silk aka. Real Money. They will probably pay attention to it.
However, if you were thinking about running your operation from the forums, or promoting it, then thats another thing. We wont allow that, and you wont receive any temp ban, because you were asking first of course, which is always nice.
So, to sum it up.
Yes, go ahead and do it for your friend, if he trusts you fully of course, i mean personally i think its nice. Do be aware thought that JM might punish both your accounts if anything was to come into light, and finally not on the forums please.

From my opinion:
I have bought silk for a really good friend. I met him in game and joined my guild at lvl 1 and is 80 now and NEVER could buy silk. He was a blader at that time. And he was 60 or so. And I asked him if he wanted a ticked and a bunny. He said YEAH PLEASE. So I bought it for him. As a friend,
Now JM says we can't buy it for each other.. Well I don't care. As long you don't Chargeback or hack the account. Then I'm ok with it.
Now, as I am comming short on real money some thimes. I buy from that friend. As he finally can buy silk himself. So yeah, circel goes around

Ive done it. But Im not really comfortable with logging on ppls' accounts or vice versa. Its better to just put the cash in someone's paypal and let them buy their own silk.

My honest opinion:
As nice as it is, it's the same thing as buying gold.

glad its an opinion.
buying gold is supporting goldbots, this has nothing to do with buying gold.
as long you both trust each why not? only thing that might happen is when a payment goes wrong and joymax considers is a drawback then both accounts (or all accounts) will be blocked.

lol? It's true, he pays money and receives gold. Why does buying gold have to automatically associate with gold bots? In both cases, one person pays money and receives gold. It's quite simple, and I actually find people who appose 'goldbuying' but do this hypocritical.

That's a good point, but it's a little different. I mean, it's nice to be willing to buy some silk for friend to help them out in need, but in the end, you are spending real cash and receiving gold because of it.
The main difference is, if you buy silk for me, and I give you gold, I'm not really selling the gold to you for cash, and you're not giving the cash to me in exchange for gold. The cash is going to Joymax.
Where do you draw the line? If I were to give you 10m gold every time you bought yourself some silk, would you be effectively buying gold? You're spending cash and receiving gold (and silk).
I could go either way on this myself. However, I think if people are going to do it, it'd be more appropriate to transfer money via paypal and let the person buy their own silk so no ID/pass is transferred.
Also: If you're doing this to help a friend, you shouldn't expect gold, or anything else, in return. Just my opinion.

I still think it's different from what I bolded. The person doesn't technically receive the money (unless by means of paypal), but the intention is still there. I find any gold obtained through means outside of the game (i.e. money) is illegitimate. It's an unfair advantage that many others can't get. Almost like using silk related scrolls in the damage contest...Not to mention it does violate JoyMax TOS (which would mean illegitimacy).
Just my view on the situation.

Still against Joymax's ToS, so therefore it is illegal here. End of discussion.

the reason why gold buying is wrong is because the gold is gained by "goldbots" they create most traffic more than 50% of the population of each server are goldbots, if the gold was gained by hand it would change my opinion on it, the fact still remains that both ways are wrong according to Joymax TOS.
Pretty sure joymax wont care if i buy someones else silk for gold as long Joymax gets their money everything is fine

I can't get to SRO's website from work, so I can't check the TOS. Is there anything in the TOS prohibiting you from sharing accounts? They always tell you not to give your user ID and password out to other people. Most organizations do prohibit the use of shared accounts (maybe not gaming companies).
So perhaps it's not specifically against TOS for you to buy me some silk, in return for me giving you gold, but in order for you to make that purchase, you need to log into my account. Perhaps that part is against TOS.
Correct me if I'm wrong, as I cannot verify it right now. If that's the case, you'd have to send money to my paypal in order to "buy" me silk.

i cant find anything about it.
but if Joymax finds this illegal i am pretty sure they would question each payment coming from 1 single paypal account.
some people buy for 2 or more chars each month, even if joymax had some rules about it they would not ban anyone as long the payments are done.

Well technically, they could detect shared accounts, and determine whether payments were coming from accounts likely to be the same owner, or different owners. Granted, I'm sure they won't enforce it as long as they get money, but in theory they could.
If I'm always logging on PR0METHEUS in Pennsylvania, USA, then suddenly the character logs in in Madrid, Spain for a silk transaction, then back to Pennsylvania a bit later, that might throw a red flag.
