Should Silkroad switch to pay to play?

How many people still play without buying silk?
I'm curious..
I think that by switching to P2P there would be less gold bots, meaning less server traffic.. because I don't believe that one gold bot would be able to make enough income to get them any profit.
Then again.. lots of people would probably just go play "WoW" because it's alot more well known

Joymax wont make it p2p, coz then they will have to start work ;p .. Banning goldbots/player bots, and they will have to make customer service..
Why would they do such a thing, when they already make tons of money from item mall + they dont have to do SHIT ?

p2p games blow. guilds and communities are unstable. one day your guild is full, next day 10 ppl are missing because they forgot to renew subscription. most players do not play past cap. on sro you buy tickets and shit to get capped, once 80 a ticket is useless, and only then do you really play for free. on a p2p game you pay to get cap, once caped no smart person pays for no extra service. even with awesome end game average player plays a month or so after cap before quitting.
with so meny ppl coming and going, no guild can keep its core members around for too long. once your core is gone, your skrewed.
thats why almost all games released in the past 2 years have been f2p and the number is increasing. f2p with item mall is the new standard for mmorps. subscription based games have become something of a cult thing for nerds.

$5 a month is max I would pay for sro and only if server traffic and bugs are fixed. In other words no gold bots

Gonna have to raise the bs flag here. WoW's community may be 100% nerds, but it is no where close to just a cult. World of Warcraft boasts the most players subscribed for any game ever. You need to check your facts about the p2p clients falling out of favor with capped players. Most players on WoW, once capped, twink lower level characters, and start raking up the battlegrounds and stuff.
Also, at the people who say there are bots and stuff on WoW. That may be true, I dunno, I can't find any for the life of me. There might be gold sold, wouldn't doubt it, but whats the point in buying gold so you can get the best gear, if the best gear is BoP? Not to mention the fact that Blizzard sues the pants off anyone that tries to do anything like that.
In response to the thread starter, I am all for P2P on sro. Most people already spend $30+ a month on it, I only spend $12 a month solid and don't have to worry about all the shit you would on sro.

would lose bunch of players and if they decide to go p2p they have to add some other updates cuz the ones they have now isnt worth paying for as a p2p game they have so little to do so they have to add a bunch of stuff before they even think on going to p2p

Depends on the price, if it were less than $10 I think it would do more good in terms of customer support and the bot situation finally meeting some progress. Then again, I don't want to think about paying extra for Joymax to stop being lazy. We already spend enough money on the item mall. Customer support should start with the company.
