if you could only choose 1 type of banning would it be


1.gold bots
2.player bots


choose i choose gold bots thou player bots dont bother me as much as gold bots

i hate both of them, but to make this game more enjoyable then ban goldbots (server traffic, more grinding spots)

GBots

Gold bots do provide a more frustrating gaming experience I think, just in sheer numbers. However, I'd say ban the player bots. They are real people that choose to cheat. Want to cheat? Banhammer!

Gold bots would probably go away if people would just stop buying gold, but that won't happen. Tough choice really.

The problem is that it is not only botters who buy gold. I'd take out the goldbots, better server traffic and more mobs to grind on.

Gold bots is a good start, and the easiest to catch

Goldbots = server traffic= impossible to log in and play.

and BTW not all Botters(player) buy silk or gold. Believe it or not it is mostly the Leets who buy silk and gold. All the Leets are giving th money to JM b/c they cant get over thier addicting over this game and thus JM is doing nothing for us. They dun have to they only want the $

tbh if they banned all the gold bots and kept the player bots, i'd be happy already, since i'll be able to login

Gold bots are like 3499 of 3500 players and 1 that is bot player I'm not saying your bots, Its a way to say that it is full of gold bots, I should do a stadistics to explain it: 100% the server capacity so it's distributed like 85% is gold bots another 10% is player bots and 5% is legit xD

I was going to make the lightening thief suggestion before. We could post a lvl 80 multi star trader outside each gate out of each city on the map. That should get each and every gold bot that leaves town. The ones that are already out in the field have to teleport back for pots and repair.

There are only so many ways gold bots can exit each city.

However, we can't be sure that player thieves won't just rob the 'bot killer' traders.

Also, the traders would have to be sufficiently far enough away from each gate so legit players can just circle around them to avoid being hit... but still hit the gold bot checkpoints.

Then there's the issue of keeping enough transport pots and HP pots on the lvl 80 trader so he and his transport don't die. Who's going to sit at the keyboard all day potting? I guess you could script the transport recovery kits (against TOS, and rules of this forum I'm sure), and rely on auto pot for the character.

who the **** wants to spare the gold bots? Unless is a gold buyer

Gold bots cause I don't buy premium.

gold bots they destroy the economy and hog the server space, player bots don't really bother me that much maybe these people just don't have time to play or are just too lazy and long as its not set to ks it doesn't bother me

Due to the OVERWHELMING server population of gold bots, we need them banned PERMANENTLY first. That would open up the servers, then people would complain a LOT less =.=

Personally, i'd rather have a bunch of sdhfadsd named guys running around lowbie areas then Botted and Powerbotted Lv 80 Chars talking shit and killing me.

Theres a glitch now which lets NPC thieves attack non jobbed players, then you can terminate the transport and just let them attack you.

I'm not sure how it worked...but I used Petal Sword Dance on a Niya General and managed to get 3 Lv 81 NPC thieves chasing me around arena.

If all player bots were already banned, who else would kill a bot- killing NPC thief?

Exactly. Perma-ban all of the player bots (they are cheating - by choice... BAD ), and let the lvl 81 NPC lightening thieves take care of the gold bots. If legits (e.g., on Venus) can get together and work to take over a server against player bots, they should be able to get together to coordinate some gold bot policing.

If a large enough percentage of gold bots are prevented from even getting into their grinding area, that's less gold for the gold companies to sell. Less gold, less customers, higher prices... maybe they'd start to go away.

To answer the question gold bots. And lets be realistic. The gold bots dont buy silk so joymax would ban them first.

Either one wouldn't matter. Lets say JoyMax bans gold bots, the servers are populated for a couple of weeks and than become rammed again. Or they ban player bots, they have charges backs lose alot of money maybe even lose there contract with paypal (Game goes under). Than these players start new accounts bot 24/7 clogging traffic even more re-buy there gold, making the gold companies have more gold bots out etc. either way isn't a solution they need to find a way to once and for all block botting. Meh theres been countless number of these threads and yet most people on these forums are closet botters, and its been proven that JoyMax can't really ban player bots b/c of charge backs.

if i could decide ? i would kick them all thats simple and most smart thing to do lol
