What is the best character build and master combinations for the number one support guy?

I imagine it would be something Euro like Bard w/ cleric sub.

what you guys think?

Subs are dumb.

If you are in a good party, you have a cleric, a tank (prolly two), a bard and some dmg dealers. Switching weapons and trying to heal and bard isnt a very good tactic.

You can get a wizard/warlock sub if you think you HAVE to have one so that if there are two bards or clerics, you can take up the slack by becoming a dmg dealer.

so something like this:

bard/warlock
bard/wizard
cleric/warlock
cleric/wizard

so what do you think would be the best natural combination?

Who said Warlocks Cant deal dmg?

if u got 2 bards or clerics then switch 1 cleric to start attacking then get the warlock to Debuff

Warlocks Debuffs + Offering FTW

Think of subs like a guild wars second profession xD

Personally I think a 1hander/cleric is the best party build. Why for these reasons....

1. Should your cleric decide to up and leave suddenly you can just switch to your cleric rod cast bless and recovery division reform and continue grinding with out stopping.

2. Secondly should your cleric die. Again switch to rod bless ress switch back to warrior rebuff cleric continue grinding....

It's all about keeping the grinding going.

I imagine it would be something Euro like Bard w/ cleric sub.

Actually thats my next build bard/cleric is pure support and would make a perfect addition to any party. It never hurts to have a back up cleric.I would think this build would get your foot into the door of any party seeing as bards are rare these days. :)

Subs are dumb.

I have sub mainly for the benefits. I like being warrior cleric, cuz if the cleric's bless is stil recharging, i can cast mine if we really need it, and if there is another tank, switch back and re-fence/protect/quota everyone in about 10 secs. But really, other than to bless, switching isn't very effective

What I meant was, you can get wizard /warlock as a sub if you are a cleric to be a dmg dealer.

2 bards is something u don't really want to get rid of if you already have a cleric... if not, then i guess you have no choice.. but the dances pwn >_>

well, the whole point of a party is that there are several people and they all contribute.
So, there is no ultimate party build however,

The two main party builds would be the Warrior (cleric sub)* and Cleric (doesn't need a sub for parties)*.
^ are the ultimate builds if you want an effective euro party.
example : http://youtube.com/watch?v=22miCga9KpI

*Cleric sub for warrior because, 1) at lower levels switching to bless is fine 2) recovery division is good enough to tank at lower levels 3) rez is irreplaceable

*Clerics might get a sub if they're having trouble finding parties because there are too many clerics at that level range, then I'd suggest getting whatever int class that level range is missing.

You can mix and match any of the int builds and there'll always be a use for you in parties.
As for rogue I suggest bard (or warrior sub), because you can heal mp as a strength character.
I suggest you get at least guard tambor, a good harp, mana cycle, magic dance, hit march, moving/swing march
As for warrior I suggest cleric sub for the aforesaid reasons.

A good party must always have.
A tank for every 2 ints. (not including bard).
Party #1
2 Tanks + Cleric + 2 Bards + 3 Wizards
Party #2
2 Tanks + Cleric + Bard + 3 Wizards + Rogue*puller
General Party formation
2 Tanks + Cleric + Bard s + Up to 3 wizard + _________
When there's 1 tank
1 Tank + Rogue*puller + Cleric + Bard + ____________
When there are no tanks
A bunch of chinese + Cleric + Bard
When there are no clerics
Tanks (r.division). (go hit the white/orange mobs) + ___________

*Warlocks, are very very useful. They can replace a wizard if there happens to be one available
*rogues / Chinese bladers can tank if the people playing them are exceptional. However do not mistake them as tanks as they are not.
