Well I wanted to buy silk so I went to their site. Chose Paypal, entered my name and password and voila, I get the error 'You IP has been banned due to Chargeback'

WTF. I don't even know how to chargeback, I'm on SRO playing as usual. This error has happened since 2 weeks straight. When I go through Firefox I have no problems. Wtf is going on :s

I don't want to send a bug report to JM because firstly they won't bother, and secondly, knowing how stupid they are, they might just ban me for chargeback :p

But the fact of the matter is, I never did a chargeback, neither do I know how to do one.

Any idea why guyssssss :p

Do you play through a net cafe or have an unprotected wireless router? someone may have done a chargeback through that IP and is blocked, but it didnt block everyones account from that IP so you can still play

Wrong CC number maybe?

Ip is banned? Maybe ur ISP give u a dynamic ip. Try reconnect ur internet connection. Hope it'll help.

Yup...and if doesnt change ask your ISP to assign you a new one.

I use it at home. Around two hours ago when I tried logging in it worked fine. But I think the problem might just come up again.

Once again, its not my cc thats the problem, I have not charged back. I have full control of my paypal account. All my transactions go through as they would normally.

Main thing is, it works fine with Firefox, but I'm just thinking whats up with IE

maybe its a paypal error they have yet to fix. Try just using click and buy as it it just as simple

del your cookies from ie. if you were really ip banned fire fox would not be able to get on.
give that a try and tell us what happened.

You can get a dynamic IP by yourself, no need to call your ISP, it's as easy as portforwarding >.>

Anyways, I haven't changed anything, and now I can log onto silkroad.net on IE. But it might just give me IP block problem again.

stop.. you hurt my head.. if you were ip baned, anything on your network will be banned.. not just one program.. if you did what i said it should have fixed the problem.

Is my english so complicated? Or do the words I type seem to be in a language you don't understand??
