We, SRF Moderators, are STILL discussing our standing on the private servers subject. Till now there is no official statement yet.
Discussing this is a very complicated process, as this is a very delicate subject. Please, understand this.

Until we've decided our final standing and statement about private servers, ALL topics about private servers will be locked and / or deleted. Links to private server forums / download sites are NOT allowed.

We kindly ask your understanding on this matter.

The users of this forum do deserve much better than what JM has to offer, there is no doubt about that, we have a far greater community than the ones of the real forums (even though some of you might still post there).

However, we just cannot allow discussion about private servers. This is illegal, something which could and may have consequences brought upon it by JM.

Now, you must remember, we are the most viewed and popular SRO fan site on the web, and we have been and will remain a place of refuge for those who are truly legit. If we get any wind of gold selling/silk selling/boting/hacking/abusing going on on our forums, we will remove them from our forums. We keep the face of SRF clean.

You must also remember that SRF is run and maintained by one person. Ryoko, we have no big company behind this, JM is certainly not behind this. This is all coming out of the pocket of one guy, and the minuscule amount that the advertising on the left produces. So yes, us allowing and encouraging discussion about a private server, which may reek havoc later is something which we do not want for the forums, or for Ryoko.

So, i guess what im trying to say is, due to the unknown and unstable nature of matters revolving the SRO Private server, which is illegal, because it is copy wright infringement. We just cannot allow this, it is better to be safe than sorry. We are having heated debate and discussion about it amongst the team, and official word will be announced in due time.
