Hey guys! I'm thinking of getting some silk for SRO.

Let's see, i got some questions i hope you can answer:

1. So I might spend like $30, so that's what, 300 silk? What is an absolute must to buy using silk?

2. Is premium really worth the silk? If so, since premium gives you preferred access, is it for 24hours a day? Or only the 3 hours per day when u activate it?


3. Should i get a Pickup pet or EXP/SP ticket? XD



Thanks for your input and everything. I never bought silk before so I'm not sure which items are a MUST and one's that are not worth the money.

premium allows you to get on the server no matter what, 24 hours a day. BUT its not worth it unless your server is extremely hard to get into. If you are buying 300 silk, i would suggest a GT, a skill GT, and a grabber. These 3 things will allow you to lvl up super fast during the 4 weeks you have them.

okay, well say i activate my gold ticket/premium at 12 midnight.


so it says for 3 hours a day, so from 12 midnite to 3AM.


Well, is that the case for every single day of the month? 12-3 ? I can't choose which 3 hours ?

And also, it says Battle time is the one counted (20 secs) so, what if on the days im on at that time, that i dont grind? Would it go to waste or rollover or whats the deal?


And should i get the 4week Gold Service Ticket (100% exp/sp?) or you talkin about sometin else

so you have 3 hours a day when you have double exp, A day counting from the time you activated the ticket. So say, you activated the ticket at 6am, anytime from 6am to 6am the next day, you have 3 hours of double exp. Once it is 6am the next day, you get another 3 hours of double exp time to use. Unused double exp time only rolls over to the next day. So say, you grind 2 hours one day, the next day you will have 4 hours of double exp time, BUT if you didnt grind off those 4 hours, only 3 of those hours will be rolled over to the next day. So on the 3rd day you will only have 6 hours of GT, meaning one hour of GT wasted.

If you're euro you can usually find a party with somone with a pet..
but if you're soloing then i would get a pet.
and like he said depending on server whether you get premium or GT

The second u activate the ticket, it will always start its 3 hours when you first activated it.

But say i activate 6am

i let my char stand around for 2 hours so now its 8am

when i fight at 8am, THEN my 3 hour starts? or did i waste 2 hours standin around?

Recommendation:
- Premium tickets (but you'll get tire of it b/c you need to be on every day for 3 hrs... so yeah tiresome)
- Ability pet (pick up pet) -> now I suggest sylph XD
- That's it... unless you wanna enchant, buy some astral and immortal... but I guess these are out of your question

The guy above made a good point about people having the pickup pets in exp/item share pts so theres no point of one.. I'm always in a pt when i grind.

Couldn't you buy 2x 100 Silk = $20 to get your premium ticket? Instead of buying 1x 300 silk = $30. Still not worth it for me since I play so little. I could get a WoW subscription for $15 a month.

SRO > WoW anyway.

There is no point in buying silk. Even if you buy the silk, you can't even get in the use the freaking silk!

(unless you already have premium)

300 silk -> gold premium (when you have a busy server) + grabber (sylph or bunny <3 )..

If you start the ticket at like 8 am...you will get 3 hours gt every day for 28 days at 8 am.. but you can only take 3 hours with you. so Monday you get 3 hours, you dont grind any of those 3 hours, Tuesday you will get 6 hours (3 hours from Monday + the 3 hours from today). Again you grind neither of those 6 hours (you will always grind your saved time first). At Wednesday 8 am you will have again 6 hours because you will loose the 3 hours from Monday.

Also if you start your ticket and you dont grind...it wont run, only when you fight monsters or people (pvp/job) and the 20 secs after that (call it the cooldown) =]

Which would allow you to do

Prem + SP + Grabber + a Little left Over For Globals

Grabber is a MUST!!!

When The Prem is Activited it will immedatly start your ticket time at that Very Second every 34 hours for the next 28 days

you do not have to grind it at that time you can grind those 3 hours anywhere in the 24 Hour Period

if there 3 hours are not grinding it will go over to the next day which would total a maximum 6 hours at one time if those 3 hours arent grinded they are lost

for the 20 second thing
this basicly means if your not attacked within that time you Double EXP time will stop untill u start an attack And/Or Attacked this can basicly make a ticket last longer then 3 hours

Van means every 24 hours.

And it only saves an extra 3 hours at any point, so if you don't grind 3 days you won't have 9 hours saved, you will have the 3 hours that day, plus the extra 3 from the day before, which is 6 hours max.

If you are in a share party and everyone is Cape fighting, you won't waste your GT as long as you don't fight. But in a share party where a monster is attack any of the party members within range, you will be wasting ticket time.

If your questions about the PT havent been answered it works as such: Every 24 hours you get 3 hours of 2x exp time. You get 2 days to use that time. Every day you get 180 mins, and if you dont grind it the next day it will stack to 360 minutes. After that day, if you wait another day you lose the 3 hours from the first day and it goes back to 360 mins. Remember to get the purification seed quest if you buy premium (at the pot lady).
Get a grabber, and if you can afford it an SP tix cuz theyre awesome.

Well, if you solo a lot, then it is a MUST. But if you are always in item share with other grabbers you can skip it. (think of how cool they look tho!) And i reccomend getting the gold ticket, if you can afford 20 a month instead of the thirty you were going to get. You don't get the premium seed quest with silver (500 seeds = 2500 sp, which you can obtain 3 times, so if you get 1500 seeds = 7500 free sp per month)

some people probably don`t know it but if you activated the premium then you have access on all servers.

or i must be extremely lucky but whenever i need or want to check another server i can log in with the accounts i activated premium.

Premium is worth it.

24 hour access...+3 Str/Int...+5% damage, +5% lucky...60 or 100% exp/skill point gain...yeah.

If you dont want to get a grabber, you gotta make sure you can grind those 3 hours in a shared/shared party and you need someone in the party who has a pet. Because grinding without a pet on gold/silver time is just stupid >.> (unless you never pick up anything lol)

Okay well the thing is, i havent made a paypal account yet. Once i do, i can buy silk right?

Or do you have to have ur paypal acct for "X" amount of days before you can buy silk?

you can buy silk after your bank account is confirmed etc etc. unless you use a credit card of some sort.

As for what you should buy. at least silver premium. you can log in any time easy, just for that reason get premium..

a monkey or something is good to have and skill ticket if you can fit all of those in (which you cant). but those three are a must have.
