Talking to Joymax

After the Pred thread, and hearing about this magical phone number to call the Joymax ltd, I decided, what the hell, let's do this!

So I called, selected the English speaking line, and waited.

About 2-3 min in to waiting, someone picked up, and said "Hello what do you need help with today?"



If only the GM's were this human on the official forums. ( Sarcasm )




Me: Hello, I am a player of International Silk Road online and would like to ask you a serious question.

Him: Do you enjoy playing Silk road online?

Me: Well, when half of the server is gold bots that do NOT buy silk, I am having a hard time. Also, I can almost never connect to the server- because everyone is a bot, or at least, everyone who seems to play for over 6 hours in the same spot for days on end.

Him: Are you connected to the server right now sir?

Me: What? Of course not, the servers are all crowded.

Him: May I have your user Id?

Me: Not until you tell me why there are over ONE HUNDRED ( I emphasized this ) gold bots, automated players, fighting in one area outside of one of the silk road cities.

Him: Really> I think Silk road is a great experience, we bring many events and support to our customers.

*At this moment, I was pissed

Me: Are you sure you heard me correctly, I said International Silk Road online!

Him: Any other questions sir, I am busy

Me: Isnt this your job? To help out customers, I am a buyer of silk you know- just not your premium ticket scam.

* This just killed my soul when I heard this

Him: I hope you enjoy the silk road, I must go now to work

*Hang up

Hello Community,

as i was bored today i decided to give Joymax Ltd. a call from an unsatisfied customer (me). And this is the first part of the story where you may help me it to continue :

I took my phone and dialed Joymax Ltd. customer support hotline. It rang .. rang .. rang .. and then a nice female voice told me to press the button "2" to get support in english. So i press the "2" and was told to stay in the line until a supporter is free.

I waited .. waited .. .. .. got a coffee .. waited -> "Hello?"

And there he was, a little korean dumbass telling me "Hello?" as if he wonders that someone will ever call this number. Ok i told him who actually i am, that i am calling from Germany and i am a customer of their MMORPG Silkroad Online.

First he did not seem to understand me as i told him that i cannot connect to the server because of the bots and so on .. he listened and ask twice which game, which server ?

I told him so .. then he asked me for my AccountID. Told him so too.

"Are you online at the moment with your account sir ?" (ofcourse i was not as i told him before i am not lame enough to pay a hundred of bucks for this stupid premium ticket to get a first class login-ticket).

He asked me then about a hundret times (ok .. atleast 4 times) what my problems are .. i told him

- Goldbots
-> Server crowded
- Spambots
-> Townchat flooded
- No GameMasters
-> No Control of the game
- No Support
-> Forum is dead
-> Emailsupport doesnt exist
-> Phonesupport doesnt work

Then he asked me (really he did!) : "Do you enjoy the Silkroad?"

I started to laugh .. told him "ya dude, without bots, spammers, and with gms ingame it might be a quite cool game".

As i asked him for another time what they will do to make the game enjoyable again he told me that he g2g to work now .. [funny as he is sitting in the customer relation center where his work is exactly that what he was doing in this moment]

End of the first story .. i hang up and decided to call tomorrow again.

Why do you bother playing the game if you aren't having fun? Isn't that what games are about?

Silkroad online is a great experience. Just because it has it's problems doesnt means its all that bad. And they do offer events, just because they aren't up to your expectations there still better than nothing.

Either way this conversation is just one giant hyperbola. You want me to think otherwise, record it next time. It's so easy to take something out of context when there is no tone behind it.
