for someone that wants to have fun and somebody who probably won't get to level 80...level 40 at the max probably. or in other words, a character that will level very fast/also has fun at low levels, which kind of rogue is best? i'll list them you can give a brief description why, and you can also vote in the polls


details: i am currently a level 16 rogue, i invested in some xbow skills and 2 bard skills. i have 300+ sp saved up and i have a 3 gap (i think) this is my first character so obviously i am very poor. ALSO! i will not be purchasing silk at ANY TIME. thank you for any advice

well here are the types

type 1: dagger/bard
type 2: xbow/bard
type 3: dagger+xbow/bard
type 4: china bow
type 5: other? (briefly describe and explain the class/a guide would also be useful)

edit: i forgot to add the fact that i would LOVE to pk/job

i fur gonna play the game for fun and not for the feeling of superiority towwards others then a crossbow rogue would the better choice in my opinion they have cool skills and fun to kill others in pvp

a pacheon bow, chinese, is better than a european rogue though

I think that Xbow Rogue with Bard sub is beastly at leveling. They level up WAY quicker than any build that I have experienced before. On top of that, rogues get all those fun skills like Stealth to spy on people, Monster Mask so that later on you can have fun turning into your favorite critters, and Duplicate, which is fun as well. Only bad part is that they can't kill party mobs or giants, but the bard sub helps them to run away quickly without getting too damaged.

To sum it all up:
-VERY fast, in both leveling speed and running speed
-Unique skillls
-Has an edge in jobbing (as a thief, at least)
-If you have the SP, getting Dagger will make jobbing even easier

The cons? They can't do very much in cape PVP except safe zoning and stealthing. Which is generally frowned upon. Having a cleric sub can let you tank for a while, though.

hm i see. i thought dagger was more fun at pvp because of prick? lol. anyway a china bow also looks fun and they look pretty cool too.

Yes, daggers are strong but their primary use is to prick people when coming out of stealth during PVP =X
Since they're close ranged they will only have one shot at killing someone, especially with DD on. They will kill very fast but also die as fast as a wizard (1 or 2 hits for both people).

I used to be a Chinese bow too. They're fun to pvp with because you can have a fight that lasts longer than five seconds.

+1000000000000 yes ur definitely right. thats the only problem i've experienced with euro chars...the pvp battles are too fast. it's usually decided within 2-3 attacks who wins. atleast in chinese u can work on some sort of tactics to try and win.

<3 my 70:70 bow hybrid, i'm so flexible I can really use much skills (practicly everything what has to do with nukes, pacheon skills, walls, shouts

and it's strong too

i wouldnt be chinese bow if you aren't planning on taking it all the way, they are not as fun pvp at low lvls, but still grind pretty fast

I would say Xbow and Dagger Rogue with Sub as cleric. with bless and recovery division you can give pretty much any class a run for their money.
