Why do you see people on Rev6 or ingame, that have either no sox, or full sox? Doesn't it seem like something preset when you make a new char. Cause i made a new char on alexander when it first opened and got 3 sos before lvl 13. And on my lvl 66 i haven't even found 1. Does this make sense? The lvl 52 and 64 chars with full sosun gear that have never had another char to make all the gold to Buy the sox. What the heck is the deal?

idk,but after i got hacked i found 4 sox in 4 days of playing, first day sos ring, second sos sword, next som neck, then i got sos sword of higher deg, idk why, but JM loved me

SOX is all based on luck, ive met lv 80's that never got a single sos drop but they have a low lvl that had tons.

its all luck =D

What Im saying is, its to common to see either no sox, or full sox to be just a coincedence. I know drop rate is random and luck, but Im starting to wonder if The % of drop being sox are luck or not. Like you said lvl 80 with no sox, and low lvl with tons? Just like my lvl 16 char with 3. Very confusing.

Umm did you make a new account just to say that Of course everyone think it's just luck. But Has that ever been proven is what Im saying. Did you hear from another player that sox are luck based? I just don't think it would be crazy to assume that there is a lot more than luck to it.

i think its how people enjoy the game that really plays with full sox or no sox
some people are happy with random +3 to 5 gear and others even when they are low on gold will do anything for the looks

You've just been very lucky with your lvl 16 char

You've just been very lucky with your lvl 16 char

Im not talking about my chars, Im talking about in general, why you never see someone with just a sun shest or boots, but a full set or none at all. unlees they bought that one piece.

A full set sun user...usually bought/hack/scam it from other people.

Thats why you only see full sun set... because people that actually found that sun item got hack/scam or sold it.

No Mystery there.

People that have only 1 piece tend to keep it quiet that they have sun and brag about how strong they are. People who have full sun on the other hand are so ridiculous strong there is no point in deneying they have no sun.

There are a enough people walking around with only 1 piece of sun that just dont feel the need to talk about it. And yeah, people tend to sell 1 piece of sun to get enough money to get a decent set or a decent weapon. A sun piece goes for 300mil+ wich is a decent 72+7 weapon.

But I also think it is an addiction, when I got my first +4 garm piece I wanted more +4 pieces. Now I am starting to make them all +5 ^^. Figure its the same with sun items.

Full sosun (8D) chars are usually either gold buyers or hackers. Sosun capped items are usually just too expensive for legit players.

i know someone who found a 8D sos garm chest and a few weeks later he found a som 8D necklace and then like 1 week after that he found a sosun 8d bow now thats lucky.

and someone who found a sosun bow 8d and a day after he found a sosun spear 8d at karra fish.

And my GM found 2 sosun protecter peices in the space of a week.

Guildie has 1 sun piece and everythings +5...

But like hertogjan said, there are enough people with 1 or 2 pieces, but they wont talk about it

my way to get some sos =
make yourself a nuker ^^ (prefer spear) get to lvl 32 (for new spear)
free taxi on earth ghost with NO item share
you probably get very very much items (which i destory for the wind 4 water 4 ^^) and tons of elixers (jup not kidding)...
because itemdroprate is higher on pt mobs you get faster sos ( and it makes you, very, very, very ritch, for low lvl ^^ bought myself nice sos d5 gear and nice spear ^^)
jup costs lots of time, dont have to reach lvl 80....

Theres no "way" To get it...... its luck, end of story.

The way to get it is to buy gold or scam it off of people. and although it's luck based, earth ghost have been proven to have higer sox drop rates than most other mobs that level. However, it's mostly luck. To give you an example, I got a lvl 24 sos shield when I was level 24 killing earth ghosts in dw, from then on until level 76 I have not gotten another sox, but I have gotten a couple of +5 armor pieces. I grinded myself to about 72 and partied from 72-76. No one in my parties ever got a sox. It's just luck and that's how it is. But you are right to suspect something is going on when a bunch of us have a "lucky char" and an unlucky char.

Alot of people buy gold but some just get lucky. When I was on oasis just after the 80 patch a character in my union Named Monty666 managed to find 3 seal of sun drops in a little under a weak...he proceeded to find another a couple weeks later. Most people didn't find shit lol.
