Is it just me, or this version is unstable?

Since the Legend II update, my game has been noticeably unstable, to the point of frustration. The game has got such a huge memory leak I can't do mcuh before the game crashes to desktop and reward me with the infamous '?????' window (which is supposed to be a log report but wasn't translated).
I can tell it's a memory leak due to several other things happening. First, textures will refuse loading. For example, if traveling from Hotan to Donwhang and then to the last floors of the Donwhang Stone Cave, the walls and floor textures won't load and they will remain white. If I try to keep playing, the game will eventually crash.
Also, the game sounds will stop playing after some time. This is a bit annoying, since I use my hearing to do a few timings when using skills, but I would like to be able to play with sounds enabled again. Turning off the sound has reduced the chance of crashing, but not by much.
Also I made a stall during the night. I set my character just outside of the main Hotan Walls (On the sandy safe zone just outside the city walls) and fully restarted my system, and left the stall overnight. I made sure I was somewhere almost no one comes trough. By the morning, I still was logged in, but as I went inside the Hotan town square to sort my items, I quickly crashed.
I can tell it's not my video driver, I've gone and updated it all, and it's fairly new. My hosts file on the Windows folder is still there with the proper linkage. Probably buying more RAM wouldn't help because I have got 1gb and the game, apart from the absurd memory consumption, crashes way before the whole 1gb are used. I don't use any third party programs. I've done several anti-virus and anty-spyware scans with no avail. Reinstalling the game didn't work either.
But it looks like no one else seems to be having the same problems. I still read posts of people being online for days without logging off, and not a single complain post (which of course, would be the first reaction should it be a general problem).
Does anyone have an idea of what is my problem? Is anyone else out there having it? Any ideas on how to fix it?
