SRO Is a Powerlevel Game?

Is it?

On newer servers, the only real people leveling are bots.

1-2 months later, its powerleveling all over the place by high 70's and lvl 80's!

Is the only chance for legits to play and level in sro to get pleveled?

Is it the same concept as WoW, where "higher levels= where the game really begins?"

Powerleveling really does seem enticing to people. Quick leveling for no effort wasted as long as you have the cash. Yes, the game does supposedly get more fun in the high levels. That's because low levels are discouraged from jobbing and pvping in the worst way possible. Seriously, I remember the first time I went on a trade run with three friends in the 2x levels (three hunters, one trader, and I was a hunter). We were having fun until we got to the first bridge when a 4x or 5x thief raped us all and popped the trader. Where is the fun in that? As a result, new players will feel useless until they get to a high level.

EDIT: I wouldn't have minded even if ten player thieves around our level came and killed us. In that way you stand more of a chance than even against one person twenty levels higher. But the fact that there is no level limit in hunting and thieving forces people to do one star trades all the time when that is really not the true purpose of this game.

Partying works fine, people usually dont get plvled unless you come into a new server and noone has a party your lvl.
But if you join a new server that just came out, there a bunch of parties.

i think it is. most ppl these days just get themselves plvled to like 5x or 6x in a few weeks.... and think about when the 90 or 100 cap comes.. ur gunna need almost 1mil sp to be capped. no human could stand farming 1mil sp.... only way u could get tht is to get powerfarmed.

I have to say, I'm a new player and I have been tempted to ask for a powerlevel (stopped mostly because I'm poor). The game does seem to be heavily leaning towards the higher levels, all there is to do as a <20 character is grind and do grinding quests. Plus Neptune seems to be all botters...so there isn't even anyone to talk to...

+1 to all you guys

I have a real life friend who plays SRO, but he's a noob about lvl16. And seriously, theres NO ONE in jangan. How is he goign to get his gear!? He feels that it's boring now because like as someone said up there, all you do is grind and stuff.

Now he taking a break from it, and i rememebr just 6 months ago, during the summer, when I was a noob myself, Jangan was FULL of life. IMO better than a ghost town :D

Well, when someone starts a character and finds out a higher lvl can easily lvl you up, who wouldn't wanna take it, everyone wants to be higher faster~

Bot, powerlvl, or play.

New triangular conflict in sro lol.

Powerlvlign isn't a bad thing though, only when its from those who already botted.

That being said...anyone have a high level on Neptune that wouldn't mind powerleveling me for relatively cheap :)

All mmo's dont begin until you hit the high levels unless you are playing them FOR the grinding.

People get lazy when they realize the possibilities of powerleveling. Then they turn to crap and don't know how to properly party or play. Not everyone, but many :|

i think you should do more research into that... 1mil sp is more than enough for 100 (check the ksro test screenshots)

the problem of silkroad isn“t powerlevel

The problem is the botters, CCF, goldbots, scammers, goldbuy, etc.....

I think once you get into the older servers, it's become that way. But for some of the newer servers with established legit guilds, it's more of the party and have fun sort of environment. For now.

I've already had friends offer free plvling on Venus, once they reach the cap. So I don't hold much hope for any of the newer servers. I like my corrupted, decrepit server Xian, though.

If we forget all the bots and spammers and other scum, I'd rather call SRO a grind fest. If you're willing to spend time in the game, everyone can get to the cap legit, without powerlevel.

But nowadays everyone wanna be cool leet lvl 80, but they don't want to do anything for it, and thus they start botting and getting powerleveled and shit.

Of course everyone wants the last degree and cool looking weapons, but what's the fun of botting/getting plvled to get it? I wouldn't be as happy. I really looked forward to my 8D pro set and my new blade, and of course it took a while to get it, but in the end I was really happy with it.

Same for the character level. I'm not lvl 80 and I won't be in a while, but when I'm out for pvp, I'm proud of my character and I don't see why I should be embarrassed for not being 80 while I'm legit.

I wouldn't take a power leveling offer...

I've had plenty of offers from high levels to power level me, and I've turned them down. I've made it all the way to lvl 53 without spending a single moment sitting on a horse collecting experience. If I get to a point where I feel it's necessary, or desirable, to sit on a horse and stare at the exp/sp balls flying towards me while I trace a lvl 80, I'll just quit SRO.

Sure, I'd like to hit cap someday, but I want to do it by actually playing the game, not by letting someone else play it for me. My sig below about botting, IMHO, also applies to power leveling.

exactly, in my eyes plvling if almost the same as botting, you are lvling while doing nothing. Every day I have atleast 5 people ask me to plvl them, noone seems to be willing to work for their lvls any more.

Nothing gets me more excited than when I am flipping through party matching pages to find a lvl 80 nuker taxi at penons for 100k/hr.

When I wake up in the morning and still see I'm in the party gaining experience I jump up and down with joy and eye watering pride.

When that party giant is in a secluded area I nearly orgasm over the 120k exp I am about to leech all over me and my pets body. I nearly sweat over all the hardwork me and my horse had to endure throughout the hour I gained 600-800 sp

When im done powerleveling to 70 I will BEAM with glory and undefying power and absolute authority. Everyone in my path will fall to me with little to no effort because I will be fully farmed.

This is a joke

Powerlvling is here to stay. The game is geared toward it and nothing will change. But those people that only get powerlvled will suck in pvp and pve whenever they try because they won't know the skills/weapons well enough.

Now I hate powerleveling alot, but the odds of someone getting powerleveled and not knowing there skills is slim to none. Honestly if you pick anything in this game most if not all the skills are self explanatory and there are countless guides to tell you exactly what to get/do and such so If you suck with your character then this isnt the game for you
