I guess it is personal preference. I use my light nukes and shouts to gather mobs.
But in pvp there is no reason whatsoever to use it.

If you're a nuker, there's no need to gather mobs as your nukes will do that.

I dont think there is any. You really have to define what you mean by useless, as any skill can be put to some narrow use regardless of the char build. For example wpn skills use comparitively less mana than nuking, though nuking would deal more damage. Maybe its more useful to point out the most essential skills for a pure int, but those are already discussed upon in various threads and guides.

Break heaven used to stay before the euro update, though it wouldnt improve your char in anyway (except for the fact that I like to use it with lightning buff, take off bow, and then go around with two shining energy globes in each hand, but I digress). Oh yeah, and I've played with a pure int lvl 80 pacheon
Thread starter couldve been talking about euro :s, though the reference to old skill settings implied chi chars, but I hate to assume.

lvl 52 wizard with life control > lvl 60+ spearman without flying dragon
If they don't have flying dragon even a lower wizard can kill them with life control 'cause of the wizard's fast casting nukes. I speak from experience <.<

The throw casts only 20% faster than the first level fire nuke, so I bet you could get off that nuke or ghost walk and do a ghost spear.
And I am guessing the topic maker is asking the question about a capped pure INT, so your point doesn't matter ^_^
