To add some actual content to this thread on leeching:
I am a lvl 59 farmed zero gapped warlock/cleric. I have started to notice that people really dont want me to grind with them, they want me to buff them and comense falling asleep at my computer from bordom.
I head out to the worms, join a share party I cast recovery divison, what do you know I get spammed in party and pm for buffs. So I ignored them and put on my warlock and get right into debuff and doting everything in sight. In one min I get banned. I asked the leader why he said its because I didnt give him str/int. I was like ok, moved to another location joined a second party, same thing happens. I am like uhh ok this is kinda dumb. Went to spot number three, stayed cleric buffed everyone casted RD, and went to make my dinner. Came back after 20 mins I was still in the party just standing there.
I know what my character can do. Warlock's debuffs and DoT's do SO much more for the party as a whole then casting int/str on peeps and just standing there.
Why is it that people think the clerics buffs are more important then the debuffs of warlock?
*on a side note I did this a few days in a row, tried to be a selfish warlock, people just dont seem to want a warlock, only my cleric stuffs, If I wasnt cleric I was banned within 5 mins of joining.
What the hell?

PK them? Or get them so mad that they try to PK you and you own them.
I once got a whole guild after me, tanked them with my warrior then owned all of them.

but I am trying to party grind. I want to gain exp not lose it from pking people. lol
I am wondering if alot of dual builds that have cleric have this same problem? Or is my server just more F'ed up then I originally thought. lol

Just buff them, the more damage they do the more exp you get

my observations over weeks of party play:
8 person party
I buff as cleric and just hit with normal attacks.
Gaint(party) takes 5mins to kill.
I act as warlock and debuff, DoT and nuke
Gaint(party) takes 2mins to kill
So me acting as warlock makes the killing faster, which in turn makes everyone more exp per hour then when I buff as cleric.
Its the same conspect that nukers grind on mobs they one hit because you gain more exp per hour doing that then you would grinding on higher lvl mobs.
So why do I get banned from parties when I am not giving buffs? Do you guys ban non-buffing clerics? I am not just standing as warlock I am fighting just like everyone else. I just dont get why I get banned so much. oO

Glavie's Girl - I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that people are 1) selfish and like seeing buffs on their character to make them stronger and 2) they don't understand how the warlock's debuffs work, and why they are better and/or more important to the party than simply buffing str/int on everyone.
I haven't experienced that situation since I've only had one euro build, wizard/rogue, and only got him to lvl 21 before moving back to my STR blader.
There seems to be a lot about this game that many people don't understand. I think at least some of it comes from the fact that so many people either bot or power level, and therefore they don't experience all of what their builds (and other people's builds) can do.
Similarly, I can be grinding out on the ice on penons, and people will PM me asking for power level when they are often times well below level 30. They don't understand that there's a +11 max gap (character or mastery?) for experience. Or I'll see lvl 7x people power leveling lvl 1x friends on the ice.

I experienced what glavie's girl has been through. My cleric abilities suck but my warlock rocks and yet people still want my little buffs ... sad. But then again if i yell at them saying that i don't give offensive buffs then they begin to see my awesome warlock skills and two scenarios follow: 1) i get spammed to rejoin party
2) party breaks up within seconds of my departure
Warlock rocks! I rock

I've attempted grinding with others with my warrior/cleric just switching to cleric to buff phys/mag def on the party members, bless spell, and recovery division and it seemed to make people happy enough. Then again, as a warrior I can screen people too, which seems to make them happy enough. I don't mind playing the bitch buffer role though. Being able to go afk for 30 minutes at a time isn't too bad ^^

The parties you join are run by little kids who dont know how to play. An ideal euro pt would be : 2 tanks, 1 cleric, 1 bard, 3 wizards, 1 warlock for max dmg. All you gotta do is find a good pure euro guild with ventrilo to join, and only level with them, or mostly them.
What I do mostly is join a party with a incompetent leader, and steal all his members to my party.
