Please forgive me, as im frustrated and just want somewhere to vent. I figured id pick somewhere that I could find people who can relate and wont mega flame my ignorance.

Well, it seems that I have experienced my first official scam in my silkroad expedition. I got low level characters but I wouldn’t call myself a noob, as im well knowledgeable, and have a decent stash of gold.
Heres what happened for thos of you that want something pointless to read (for those of you who don’t, just post a response and get the noobtastic flames over with now.)

Someone lead me to believe they were another account of someone in my guild (the leader btw), apparently this person has "scammed" the person he claimed to be before. Of course I put quotes around scammed , as I believe the person really was who he claimed to be. As the previous night he was asked me to alc some or his expensive gear cause I was on a lucky streak. And he kept reassuring me that he trusted me, and kept telling me how much I COULD sell his stuff for if I stole it. So when he came to borrow my sh*t I figured it was him. And I thought id return the trust. And boom, I lose my grinding weapon.
I don’t even care about the gold it cost to buy it, as I can make 4-6 mill a night casually selling elements. I just really liked the bow. now im sh*tty and I just wanna plvl to 32 so I can use my next weapon.

Moral. Don’t trust someone named Gokou on Zeus, don’t trust your guild master, and if you wanna scam someone, come too zeus cause im one gullible f*ck.

Maybe this thread can become constructive and nostalgic. Maybe a few others would like to post their first scam experience, then I wont feel like such a jack-ass.

In future, dont trust anyone too much, everytime i borrow something to someone i think if i can afford to lose it first.

O no I can easily afford the item, I even sent him a message offering to buy it back. I just really liked the bow. It was my farming bow.

Im GENERALY not that trusting, im just a very nice person, I give my in game friends gold n sh*t. I need to quit tho, I can see why everyone in this game is a d*ck. I honestly don’t trust anyone now. I was in jg some noob walked up to me after it happened and I just let him have it. Im usually more patient with beggars.

And no he wasn’t a turk that im aware of, but turk or not that’s not important, I have met plenty of nice, and non scamming turks. And plenty of euro/american scamming scum.
The scammers name is Gokou and the person who he claimed to be/ claimed was scammed by the same guy has a name that’s to hard to remember. Thanks for the pleasant response.


BTW - it was a 24+5 sos nearly full blue bow.

Yea you didn't lose that much I guess. I got scammed a couple times before and each time I would always make a comeback. I would earn more then i lost.

Here's the story of that Gokou guy if anyone wanna read it...

Like I told Arch, that Gokou guy was one of the first friends I had on that server. I was farming at the Stronghold with him. I farmed 25k sp and he farmed 50k. We then became long term friends. So, as a friend, I lend him my 5d SOS set to use. After he's done with the set, I also let his cousin use it, and lend him my 6d SOS set. However, when he reached about lvl 48-ish, he started to mention about buying gold. So one day, I don't know whether he bought the gold or not, but his cousin char got hacked and everything is gone. So his cousin logged into Gokou's char and also that char was stripped. So basically, that Gokou guy hacked his cousin and abandoned his char and use some other char called Tengo. The guy real name is Shu Yang, but people called him Kou. That's all I know about him. Losing the items wasn't as half bad as having a friend betray you.

my first scam actually came today as Gregor_PL_ scammed me 125k. What a noob. LOL. 125k has to be that low, because he had a plvl party going on and i'm like oh wth , i got 30 min to kill, might as well. 1st 2 min into the plvl, he bans me. I tired talkin to him, but he ignored me.


1st scam i had in this game.

I have been scammed like 100 times when i started this game..

On that easy exchange scam.
Put in the item you gonna sell, And he put in money, we say 5kk, then before he press accept? he change the money to maybe 5k. and then press accept.. boom and he had my money..

Forgive my guilty my association accusations. Im sure you can understand. Im not that important anyway, so im sure youll forget about it in a week. Whats even more sad, is not my feelings of your guilt by association, but the fact that I was scammed by association. Log was my bud, and that’s why I joined the guild, but I now regret it as my association to black lodge and you, gets me scammed. And if I stayed, id have to walk around worrying that every person I met was trying to scam me because of it. Or worrying that I was secretly being scammed by the people I trusted. This is more of my problem than losing my farming bow. As I said before I could easily replace it.

Please ban Die, from the guild so I don’t have to deal with that the next time I log on as her.

So, you still think that I secretly scammed your bow? You are making this problem far worst than I thought. Just think logically, why on earth would I do something like that? I don't need your bow, I don't need to scam people for money... If I'm a scammer, I would scam something more valuable or useful for myself, like a +9 Glavie. I lost my two sets and I'm not complaining, nor did I disassociate myself from his cousin. Hmoob_Nuker/Hmoob_Hybrid is his cousin, by the way. Go ask the guy when he's on.

Meh, got scammed once about a weapon elixer...guess it was late lol.

Other then that I'm pretty trustworthy. My whole guild is almost lol...We all have eachothers accounts etc (not shared but just acces to pvp or something like that) . Beside my guild there are a few people I would trust my account to. Or my stuff or w/ ever.

I think you should join the BKZ union in zeus, theres alot nice people in it.

If anyone is wondering what BKZ stands its Bot Killers of Zeus, i was going to post some screen shots, but i dont think thats too good idea.

We are nice people, and I believe, we are by far the nicest. Scamming never happened in our guild. He was just an unlucky victim that got scammed by a person that's not even in our guild. Yet, now he claimed that I did it... This is BS.

I doesn’t matter if you did or not, just knowing you gets me scammed, apperantly. I can give you the benefit of the doubt and say you didn’t do it, it still doesn’t change the fact that simply because I know you I get scammed.
Its not a problem. Its been resolved. I just wanted to vent.
I have no problem admiting it was more my fault than gokous for being scammed. Scams are a prey on someones weakness. So I was week and screwed myself.

Btw its worse, not worst. And the only logical reason I would imagine that you WOULD do it is debt. But like I said. Its not that I believe you did it or not. Im not making a direct accusation here. Forgive me if it appears that way. Im sure youd have doubt too if you were in my same circumstances.

All in all, id say you shouldn’t be mad at me, be mad at the person that soil your name in my eyes.

I think im gonna have to become undepressed about the circumstances and buy that moon bow in DW. (not IRL depressed, just in game apathetic really.)

scamming sucks no matter how it happens
most of the time the scam takes place because of greed or too much trust

just learn from it and try to move on

as far as trust goes, if there is none, it does no good to argue if or who
just forget it or move on to another group (guild or not)

thats about all you can do

Lol i just got scammed for 100k while buying plevel, zeus seems to have alot scammers in it, got 20 names on my scammer list at the moment and i have been farming for just a mounth.

You're not making a direct accusation, but you're INDIRECTLY accusing me because of your lost. There are several sentences that you typed sounded like I was the scammer. For example, "don't trust your guild master" or "The scammers name is Gokou and the person who he claimed to be/ claimed was scammed by the same guy has a name that’s to hard to remember". When I read these...They seem like you were trying to portray that Gokou is me.

Also, the debt is not a big deal. I have my previous 7D set and can easily sell it over 50mil. All my high lvl drops can easily sell at ~3mil a piece. So, I don't really know what you're trying to get to. Money is not a big deal, but my reputation is...

well when i was a noob on alexander (and still just a noob)
i really wanted a pet(like everyone)
a guy offered me a wolf, he said cheap, i said i only have 450k
he thought about it for a second and said he needed money bad
and ok
he offered exchange
put many items in and then wolf
i click ok and accept he takes wolf out and bamm im scammed
he ran away and logged off

but good ending though
in junk put in exchange was som glove just right for my char
lol

I'm not overly defensive, I just wanted to get things straighten out. I don't want people, and especially you view me as a perpetrator.

I do whatever it takes to keep the char entertaining to me, whether I bot or not. In the end, it's just a game. And a game is just only for entertainment. I gain nothing from this game, except for wasting my time for entertainment.

See, the thing is mafa, im well aware of the bot issue in this game. And publicly humiliating someone for no reason wont do anything to stop the player botting. The only thing to do is not bot yourself. I have never, never will, and currently do not bot. That is my contribution to the "war on bots" as joymax puts it. Im an example for those around me. Im not high enuff lvl to make a bot trap or anything like that really.

Now, if its some personal issue between you two, then that’s not my business.

But you can pm me in game later if you want, I wont be on till after 6pm eastern.

And I believe the rule is to support, or admit to botting, which he didn’t do until accused. So now he probably will get banned. You can blame me for this one climax, had I not vented, this prolley wouldn’t have happened.
