Depending on the gear, either can win.

They both have a knockback and stun advantage, but bow has better crits.

Yeah, I have a pretty hard time on my friends char when pvping with a bow. It could be that he is a bit hybrid but mostly becuz of the high and more crits of bow O_O

/Edit: now I've seen the vid...this is not at the cap and the glaive didnt have really good gear if he can die with snowshield from someone same lvl =/

And unless someone crit like 3 times in a row or has a sun bow he wont kill me when he keeps phantomming like that =x

hes pretty gay, and he does have a sun bow, but its still impressive seeing someone take down a pure str glaive in snow shield.

lol...archers dont destroy glaivers but ok...and that guy only pwns cuz he has a sun+7 bow =/ every nub high lvl can pwn when he gets a sun weapon -.- give him a +5/+7 bow and then we'll see further lol

archers are powerful ... and yes Archers can defeat glaviers easly like glaviers can defeeat archers easly ... its all about ur gear and weapon .. and how good farmed u are .

bow have way too many repot times (knockbacks and stun)
and with their increase attack rating and crit chance they have an advantage vs a build that need to eat all str damage
first to 5wins is usually a better way to compare builds he might have lost the other battles but simply record his wins.

but i would bet my money on the bow if both are full farm.

They have idd more chances etc. but then you come back to where all of the pvp depends on. gear and luck .

But idd, bowers have more chance to win with all their crits, but they gotta crit then and thats luck again.

You wanna compare builds. give them both NPC set, same lvl, farmed both or both 9 gap everything maxed till that for instance and both the same weapon (+3,+5,+7 etc). THEN you can compare, cuz sun against +5 its obvious sun will win (except when the sunner is a total **** up)

i dont consider crit increase in the skills you are using as a luck factor

Critting is luck. same as blocking. I've seen enough 12 br shields blocking more than 16 br shields. Same with crit. It's just a number, it's not that with crit 12 you will crit 12 out of the 100 hits ALWAYS. you can do 50 nothing, crit a few, rest nothing and then the next 100 crit about half of the time. So I do consider crits part of the luck factor in pvp.

guess we all should now simply buy crit1 weapons since its all LUCK

sorry but ghost spear = repot time for the bowman lol.

at least smart bowmen know not to spam arrow combo for the knockback, but it seems pretty necessary for the glaiver to use ghost spear since its a very strong skill when it crits, not like some pu$$y soul spear that hits twice and lets you repot after the first hit, right before the second.

if i were a glaiver id pray for NO knockback from my ghost spear.
and when you phantom away and some noob glaiver cries and throws his glaive at you then has to run towards you as you blast him with 2 skills, thats probably the best feeling in the world.

AFAIK I never said its ALL luck, luck is just a big part of the game, ofcourse a high crit weapon helps, but it dont have to be like that.

Fudge is also right about GS(P/M). I only use that when I expect a crit, otherwise I just keep spamming SSE/SSS lol. And when a bower phantoms, I just phantom too lol.

I saw how archer critted on glavie 16k, then 7k, arrow combo with knock back and glavier was dead. He even didnt touched archer, i was like omfg And archer had non SOX +7 bow

Bowers are equally strong as glaviers.

If both glavier and bower is fully-famed and with Lv 72 +7 weapons and both with pimped +5 and +6 gears... fight might take a while. Depending on the timing of the crits, either one of then can win the fight.

I get critted like 8/9/10k (if its on the higher end) from a +7 80 farmed bower. But I got good gears so . And how could that be awesome, 2 crits and a combo skill

ows.... what about if bow vs glaive with the same r fully farmed and the same have set npc gear and ofcourse the same npc weapon, lvl and + etc ...

Liquid got a dmg in the highest dmg contest and thats pretty high..so he has atleast good pimped gears dunno bout the glaivier tho
